An important obj ect of my invention is to provide al railway torpedo of simple and cheap butk effective construction which may be readily secured upon the rail and which shall be of' non-dying? construction, thus eliminating all danger.

It will be observed that in eachof the forms of my invention herein shown, the end walls are of material 'preferably uniform with that constituting the body of the Casing of the torpedo.
