Specification of Letters Patent I Patented Mar. 11, 1913.
l. Application filed June 24, 1912. Serial No. 705,559.
To all whom 15 may concern."
Be it known that I, CHARLES J. ALLMAN, citizen of the United States, residing at Idagrove, in the county of Ida and Stateof Iowa, have invented certain new and" useful Improvements in Scrapers, of 4.which Hthe following is a Aspecication, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.
This invention relates to `Aa receptacle cleaner and has special reference to a cleaner which is rovided upon one end with a scraping p ate and upon the other end with a burnishing disk.
Another object of this invention is the plate. Fig. 3 is a perspective View of the lplate used in connection vwith the burnisher. Fig.` 4 isa transverse4 section of lthe bur nisher. Fig. 5 is anenlarged fragment-ary -view Iof one end of thehandle.
Referring to the accompanying drawings by numerals 1 designates a handle which is provided at each end with the laterally eX-' tending square arms 2. A scraper disk 3 which is provided with the straight side edges 4 and therounded edgen is carried by one endI of the, handle by means ofthe squared clamps (j which tit over the laterall extending arms 2 for holding the dis a' ainst rotation upon said handle.' A burmshing diskis carried by the opposite end of said handle andcomprises a plate 7 which is provided with the'straight side edges 4 and the rounded wall 5. This plate 7 is mounted upon the rubber burnisher 8 by means ofthe rivets 9 which pass through the apertures 10 formed in t-he plate 7 and are riveted upon the plate 11 which is positioned l on the outer side of said burnisher 8. This burnisher 8 is mounted on the opposite end of the handle l by means ofthe clamps 6.
' It will be seen that by .use of this device the articles that are burnedupon the vessel may be easily dislodged by means of the scraper 3 and the vessel may be easily cleaned by meansl of the burnisher disk.
The scraper disk 3 isl provided with -the aperture 12 for allowing the cleaner kto be placed upon a hook or other hanger.
Having thus described the invent-ion what is claimed as new,\is:-
A scraper or cleaner of theclass described n comprising -a handle, a scraper disk carried by one end of said handle Vand a burnishing disk carried by theother end thereof, said handle provided with laterally extending l squared arms at eachv end, U-shaped clamps" provided with laterally extending feet for fastening the clamps upon a support, a plu-l rality of said clamps carried by said scraperdisk and said burnishing disk, said U-shaped clamps Iitting upon said laterally extendlng squared arms, said ,1U-shaped clamp members constituting means for holding said scraper disk and said burnishing disk at lright angles relative to said handle.
In testimony vwhereof I hereunto aliX my' signature in presence of two witnesses.
