citizen of the United States, and resident of St. Louis, Missouri, have invented cer- ',tain new and useful Improvements 1n Jelly- Strainers, of which the following is a specilcation containing a full, clear, and exact description, reference beingl had to the a'ccompanying drawings, forming a part hereof. l I

My-invention 'relates to improvements in jelly strainers, and the object of my invention is to construct a simple, neat, cheap and durable strainer in which the strainer proper or bag is provided with a flexible fabric reinforcing band at its top, the bag being stitched to the band so that it may be readilydetached from the band.

The fabric is rovided at intervals with eyelets whereby 1t may be quickly attached to or detached from a ring, and the ring is provided with means whereby it may be sevcured in place.

' With the above purposes in view my invention consists 1n certain novel features ot construction and arrangement of parte aswill be hereinafter more fully described, pointed out in the claim and illustrated by the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a plan of a strainer construct ed according to my invention; Fig. 2 is a side elevation of the strainer, a portion of the bag being broken away and the supporting bracket being shown in section; and

Fig. 3 is a fragmental, vertical section of a vportion of the strainer bag and the suspending ring.

l2 designates a bracket which is arranged to be secured to a' wall or thelike-for thev 5evv support of the hook 6, stem 5 andthe hoop 4.

The leading and distinctive features ofmy improved strainer are that the strainer proper or bag 10- may be removed or fletached from the band 8 for purposesof repalr, and that the band 8 and bag 10 may hoop 4 for cleansing purposes'.

The improved jelly-strainer, comprising the combination withv a suitable supporting .be readily det-ached from thel supporting bracket and a strainer-bag; of acircularhooi; having an integral hook for engaging saidbracket; a plurality of bag-supporting hooks havingv their upper ends secured ,to said hoop so that said hooks depend from said hoop in position for their free'ends to be turnedfiipwardly; a. reinforcing-band detachably secured to the upper edge of sai-d bag; and a series of eyelets carrled b said b'and and'suspended upon the'said hooks, to support the Weight of said band and bag.
