This invention is an improved cover and brush holder for mucilage bottles, adapted to perform the functions of a cover for exeluding dust and dirt from a mucilage bott le and to also hold the brush in the bottle at the proper depth .to prevent the mucilage from drying on the brush and also prevent the niucilage from caking and drying on the brush handle, and, further adapted to hold the brush exteriorly of the bot.- tle when the brush is in use and while the bottle is open, the invention consisting in the construction, combination and arrange ment of devices hereinafter described and claimed.

In accordance with my invention, I provide a cm'er 1,which may be made of sheet metal or anv other suitable material, is of a size and shape adapting it to fit on the mouth of'a mueilage bottle, is provided at oneqside with a recess 2 for the passage of the handle of a mucilage'brush and is provided at the opposite side with a projecting lip 3 which is upturned. I also provide a wire clamp 4 which is in the form of an open ring, is made of spring wire of suitable gage and is adapted to extend around and to firmly clamp the neck of a. bottle such as indicated at a. My improved mueilage bottle cover and brush holder is extremely cheap and simple and may be readily attached to and detached from any ordinary mucilage bottle.
