Beit known'that I, ALLEN P. BOYER, a citizen of the UnitedI States, .reslding at Goshen, Indiana, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Work-Holders, of which the following is a speolficatlon.

This invention relates to improvements 1n work holders, the saine being particularly adapted for seamstresses use.

The objects of the invention are to provide a simple and elicient device whlch can be readily attached to a table, stand or other support, and will very securely and effectively hold the work.

Objects pertaining to the` eiiclency and economy of the structure will deinltely appear. from the detailed description to follow.

I accomplish the objects of my inventlon by the devices and ,means described 1n the following specification.

To produce my improved structure, a spring bar 1, preferably a attened spring wire, is conformed to present -a base portion 2, which is adapted to fit upon the top of a table, vor stand, and is recurved upon itself' at 3 to form an engaging spring to engage the edge of the table 4. For many uses, it will not be found necessary to put the tubular casing 9 over the spring metal. It will be readily under-v stood that it is much to be preferred to make this structure of an integral spring, but the principle embodied can also be embodied in a structure made up of two or more pieces. As it does not involve invention to divide this device into two or more pieces, I have not deemed it necessary to illustrate such in detail. A

Having thus described my invention, what Iclaim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
