My improvement is particularly applicable te printing machines ot the type known commercially as the h'lultigraph conrln'ising a rotary printing cylinder havimgY a series olf luider-ent channels in perimeter extending parallel with its axis to receive complementary shaped l'langed typewhieh said cylinder presents in opposition tothe other member et the printing couple. As ordinarily (':onsti-luieted, the only means with which such a machine is provided 'for printing lines at right angles to the lines of letter type consists ot type litted to the channels and haring: dash taces.
