reference being had to th'eaccompanyng drawings and to thefletters marked thereon,rforming a part oi my specification.
My'lmprovement consists in ,preparing a' suitable box or case of proper dimensions to siton a box, empty barrel, or 'other receptacle.
In the case or boxl (see A) I suspend my siter, (see.
15,) in -a vertical position, by two arms, (see C O,) passing through the f 'rontand rear of thel case, by holes prepared for that purpose, (see I) D,) using, when in i operation, the frontjarm as the handlefor shaking,
when the sieve is in position to shake, which is then made to slide on a 'cleat prepared (see E) on Athe `left hand of thecase for that purpose.

The drawer isthenpushed ,in its, proper place, and, with-a slight moyernen't of' thehandfthe sieve is thrown from Yits balance `and dumped in `the drawer,
free from ashes.
