aA The l'present Ainvention relates to incandescent la'mp's' and especially to lamps with metal filaments the glass bulb of which is inadebiparvtiteso 'as to allow of the lamps bein repaired after the filaments are 15 burned.

Glass bulbs made in two partis are known,

but the lamps-of that kind known imtil t-oday present a serious drawback. 'While the lair is exhausted, the bulbs sometimes burst. Furthermore it is very diilicult to tighten such an extent that the lamp keeps air tight.

4o The object of. the resent invention isto eliminate the above rawbacks so as to construct a lamp which, after .being repaired,

'In the outer groove -l ofthe carrier 2 is engagedtlie edge of the glass portion 3 of the bulb and said groove is filled with cement. Owing to this arrangement the edge 6 of the cap l is at a lower level than the edge of the bulb portion 3. The junction between the carrier 2 and the .bulb 3 is protested by the edge (3 ofitlie cap 1 and consequently the carrier is not exposed Yto'tlie pressure which is produced on 'the joint while exhausting. The jointing lmass between tlie bulb 3 and the edged of the eari'ier provides a firm and tight connection which satisfies every requirement. i

The cement or'jointing compound may be easily dissolvedpin water or vinegar, according -t o its composition. and the repairs may be executed very easily after removing the bulb 3.

Having now fully described our said in vention, what we claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:
