To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that 1, AUGUST J. LUNDBERG, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city, count v,and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Folding Forms forGarments, of which the following is a specification.

The object of my invention is to provide a suitable form which may be used with a coat when folded or packed, so that the garment will be held without creasing and in its proper lines. This object is accomplished. by my invention, one embodiment of which is hereinafter set forth.

For a more particular description of my invention, reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part hereof, in which Figure 1 shows a blank form from which my improved form is made. Fig. 2 shows a form ready for use. Fig. 3 shows a coat Fig. 4 shows a coat folded on a form.

Throughout the various views of the drawings, similar reference characters designate similar parts.

The blank 1 is made of card board or suitable material having a body portion 2 with curved sides 3 and 4 and a collar 5 provided with a tongue 6 and slot 7. The blank may be provided with a perforation 8 in the collar and also with perforations 9 and 10 near the bottom of the body portion 2. formed in tabs 11 and 12. A medial crease 13 may also be formed in the body portion 2'which extends from the collar 5 to the bottom to assist in folding the form.-

When the tailor desires to use the form he first engages the tongue 6 of the collar 5 in the slot 7 as shown in Fig. 2. He then takes a coat to which the form is to be applied and folds the sleeves and raises the collar in the usual manner, placing .the facings of the coat over the sleeves, and then inserting the form so that the collar of the form is against the collar of the coat and the facings of the coat are over the body portion with the form between the sleeves and the facings, or between parts of the sleeves and facings, the sleeves being folded backon the form, as shown in Fig. 3. The

[tabs 11 and 12 may then be placed on the exposed part of the facings, pins passed through the fabric of the coat through the perforations 9 and 10. A pin may also be inserted at the collar 5 through the perforation 8. These pins, when inserted, rest against the form and do not perforate or mar the same, so that the form can be used a great number of times. The form and garment may then be folded on the creased line 11, as shown in Fig. 4, and placed in the package for shipment.

lVhile I have shown and described one embodiment of my invention, it is obvious that it is not restricted to the exact details of construction shown and described, some of which may be omitted or changed, and it is intended that the invention shall be understood to cover all structures that come within the scope of the annexed claims.

\Vhat I claim is:

1. In a'garment form, a perforated collar and means for connecting the ends of the collar, and a perforated body portion with curved sides connected to the collar, so that when the form is in use, portions of the fabric may be passed through said perforations and secured to the form.

2. In a garment form, a perforated collar and means for connecting the ends of the collar, and a perforated body portion with tabs and curved sides connected to the collar, so that when the form is in use, portions of the fabric of agarment may be passed through said perforations and secured to the form.

3. A garment form, comprising a perforated collar permitting a portion of the fabric to be passed through said perforation and secured to the form, said collar bcing adapted to be curved or formed to correspond to the shape of the collar of thegarment and provided with means for connecting the ends thereof together, and a fiat body portion having curved sides extending downwardly from said collar.
