The invention consistsin providing movable elastic cord-'holders to the ends of thescover.

They can readily he drawn out of their pockets when necessary, and are not fastened to the cover. ,O is'the cord by which the papers are to be secured.

to forni a series of longitudinal strings, to cachot' which a` paper can he secured by strapping it under such string.

VThe outer end of the cord C is, by means of au elastic cord or strap, d, fastened to one of the holders. 'lhereby it is held terse.

The papers are held by the strings. Music I prefer to put only under 'those strings that come from under the holders, so thatthe latter will prevent the paper from slipping to the edge of the cover.

The spring-holders O will also hold the back lat when the file is opened,a1n d will consequently-hold the paper properly opened.

, They may, if desired, be used to hold separatecords or wires, although I prefer to apply the continuous string, as shown. i

I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The removable spring-holders B, secured inthe pockets b of' the cover, for the purpose of holding the ordfC, and at-tening the back of the cover, as set orth.
