DEVICE FOR FASTENING SHADES TO ROLLERS.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we. Gnonon lV. Form- PAIN and SAMUEL H. liloon. citizens of the 1 United States. and residents of Cameron, in the county of Clinton and State of Missouri, have invented a new and Improved Device for Fastening Shades to Rollers, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
Our invention relates to devices for fastening shades to rollers, and it has for its object to providean elongated flexible fas' tener with projections on one face for engaging the shade and the roller, there being a slot at one end of the fastener, in which a pointed terminalat the other end of the fastener is normally disposed and turned over, for holding the fastener around the rollerand an end of the shade, the fastener being provided with laterally extending shoulders for engaging and holding the Additional objects of the invention will appear in the following complete specification, in which the preferred form of the invention is disclosed.

The pointed end S of the fastener 5 is then bent down and pressed close to the bodyof the fastener 5. We prefer to use,threeof these fasteners 5 with a shade of ordinary size. the middle fastener 5 being first secured around the end of the shade and the shade roller, and the end fasteners 5 being then secured in position.
Having thus described our invention. we claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent:
1. In a device for fastening shades to rollers. an elongated flexible member having projections on one face. and a slot at one end, the other end being adapted to be disposed through the slot. and be turned over to hold the elongated flexible member around the shade roller.
2. In a device for fastening shades to rollers. an elongated flexible member with a pointed end. adapted to pierce a shade and having a lateral proiectionfor limiting the passage of the member through the shade. the member having a slotv in which the pointed end of the member may be inserted and bent over when the member has been bent around the shade roller.
