I prefer to leave clearance enough between the hood 12 and the member 13 to permit any liquid on the bottom of the provision chamber to escape therebetwcen. To extend the drainage pipe through the bottom of the refrigerator and securely hold the same and the case member 13 place, a tube 15 extends downward from the case through the bottom of the refrigerator being screw threaded at its lower end, provided with a threaded sleeve-19 which sleeve flange 20 which flange engages the bottom or the refrigerator whereby by turning the bottom of the refrigerator and securely holds the flange 14 of the case down upon the edge of the lining 17.
To form a trap to prevent cold air from escaping through the drain pipe a cup 16 is provided into which the end of the pipe 11 dips and is spaced apart therefrom. This cup 16 is provided with lugs 21 resting on the inwardly projecting shoulder of the case l3upon which the hood 12 rests and between which lugs the water from both the bottom lining and the pipe escape. The water coming down the pipe 11 fills this cup 16 and seals the pipe 11 and overflowing the margin of the cup bet-ween the lugs escapes downward.
The pipe 11 with the hood 12 is readily removed by lifting the same and swinging the lower end laterally. The cup 16 can then be easily lifted out and thus the device readily taken apart for cleaning.
1 do not herein clai the described lining for refrigerators but erve the same for a separate application in accordance with the requirement of the Ofiice for division.
What I claim is 1. A trap for drain pipes, comprising a divided and separable case, the parts of the case being spaced apart to form a passage the lower part of the case to engage the lining of a refrigerator to support the case and direct fluid into said passage, pipes extending oppositely from said case, the upby the case and extending within the same, and a cup in the case inclosing the end of the upper pipe.
2. A trap for drain pipes, comprising a upper edge or the lower part of the case to engage the lining of a refrigerator, a pipe extending downward from the lower part of the case, the upper part of the case detachably supported in the lower part of the same, and spaced apart therefrom to permit fluid to flow from the said lining projecting d er.
into the case, a detachable drain pipe extending through said upper part of the case and supported thereby and acup supported in the case inc'losing the end of the upper pipe and spaced apart from the same.
3; A trap for drain pipes, comprising a lower pipe, a cup on the upper end of said pipe having its upper part of enlarged diameter to form an inwardly projecting shoulder, a hood detachably supported on the shoulder and spaced apart therefrom, an
upper pipe extending through the hood andwithin the cup and supported by the hood, and an inner cup surrounding the lower end of the last named pipe and spaced apart from both the said upper pipe and the outer cup,
at. A trap for drain pipes, comprising a cup having an outwardly extended flange to support the cup and having its lower part of reduced diameter to form an inwardly shoulder'below the top, a pipe extending downward from the bottom of the cup, a hood having its lower edge within the top of the cup and supported by the shoulder and spaced apart therefrom, a pipe extending through the top of the hood and having its lower end below the shoulder, and an inner cup having lugs supported upon the shoulder, said inner cup surroun ing the lower end of the last named ipe and spaced apart from the same and rom the outer cup.
5. A trap for drain pipes, comprising a fixed pipe, a cup on the upper end of said pipe having its lower part of reduced diameter to shoulder below the top, a hood detachably supported on the shoulder and having its lower edge surrounded by the-upper part of the cup and spaced apart ,therefrom, a
