EVIAPORATING. AND FUMIGATING APPARATUS.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOSEPH WVILLIAM Evaporating and Fumigating Apparatus, of
which the following is a specification.
The invention relates to means for evaporating liquid disinfectants, deodorizers, medicinal or other fluids, and for vaporizing sulfur and other powders and substances.
According hereto, I employ a rectangular shaped casing designed to carry a spirit lamp or the like, and having an opening or openings in its side or sides for the insertion of the lamp and the admittance of air. The top of the casing is provided with a lid which is designed to be removed and placed crosswise of the casing and to hold the material while it is being treated.
The invention .is shown in the drawing wherein Figure l is a front elevation, Fig. 2, is an end perspective elevation showing the apparatus in use.

oval or other approved shape, is provided with a cover 2 which fits uponv the top of the casing when the apparatus is out of use. When desired to use theapparatus, the lid is removed and placed within the notched recesses 3 and 4, formed for its reception in the top of the casing. Openings 5 and 6 are thereby provided for the escape of the fumes from the lamp 7 which is passed into the casing through the opening 8. This opening may be of any shape or size desired.
What I do claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States is The herein described evaporating or fumigating apparatus, comprising a casing having an opening in its top and a pair of notches formed in the upper edges of its side walls, a cover adapted to close said opening or to be seated in said notches and provide a support for the substance to be heated, and a lamp within the casing.
