Oliid, -have invented new and useful Imt My invention relates to bathing caps iforinedgof rubber, and has for its, object to provide an improved construct-ion of the' same which Will combine efficiency, artistic' excellence and economy `in 1nanufact1ue- These objects I' accomplish in the manner and bythe means hereinafter described and claimed, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, in which: y

In the said drawing, referring'm'oreparticularly to Figs. 1 to 3, the reference nuinerall-denotes the body of the cap, which, together With the skirt 2, is formed of '-a single piece of fiat sheetvrubbelr circular 1n shape. In practice the strip 3 '1s .applied 1n the manner above described, and the puckering I .cord 5 then threaded through the channel 4, the nieeting overlapping ends of-strip 3 being left uncemented for that purpose.- The ends of said cord 5 are then united in any suitable manner, and the ends of strip 3 cemented `in position covering said cord. Having thus described my invention,`vvhat I claim as new and desire ters Patent is:

2.' In a' bathing cap, a body portion formed of Waterproof material and an elas tic or resilient puckeri'ngcor disposed in a 'sealed Waterproof, pocket or channel formedon said body portion, said cord beling of normal shorter length than said pocket or channel and loosely disposed therein.

In a bathing cap, a body" portion formed of Waterproof material, a waterproof strip connected at its edgesto said bodypertion and forming a sealed annularcord receiving pocket or channel bet-Ween it and4 said body portion, and an elastic or re-` 110 silient puckering` cord disposed lin said pocket or channel.

'In a bathing cap, a Abody portion formed of a fiat piece of Waterproof material, awaterproo strip connected at its edges to .said body portion at a distance from the edge thereof and forming a sealed annular cord receiving pocket or channel between it and said bogly portion, and an elastic or resilient puckering cord loosely disposed in said pocket or channel.

In a bathing cap, a body portion formed of Waterproof material, a strip ce mented at its edges to said body portion, said strip forming an annular cord receiving witnesses.
