To all whom, it may concern Be it known that I, IVAN R0010, a citizen of Austria-Hungary lagid residing at H0- boken, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Caster-\Vheels, of which the following is a specification, such as will enable those skilled in the art to which itappertains to make and use the same.

This invention relates to casters for use in connection with pianos, organs and other musical instruments, and the object thereof is to provide an improved device of this class which will prevent jolt, jar and vibration. and which will also insulate the instrument; :1 further object being to provide a device of the class specified which may also be used with great advantage in connection with beds; and with these and other objects in View, the invention consists in a device of the class specified, constructed as hereinafter described and claimed.

The invention is fully disclosed in the following specification, of which the accompanying drawing forms a part, in which the separate parts of my improvement are designated by suitable reference characters in each of the views, and in which Figure 1 is a side view of a leg of a piano provided with my improved caster, part of the construction of the caster being broken away, and; Fig. 2 a section on the line 2-2 of Fig. 1.

In the drawing forming part of this specification, I have shown at a one leg of a piano provided with a caster I; having the ordinary side arms 6 in which the wheel or roller 0 is mounted, and my invention pertains particularly to said wheel or roller.

The wheel or roller 0 comprises a main annular body portion a composed of glass,

porcelain or similar earthy material adapted to serve as an insulator and said wheel or roller is provided with a central elastic bushing c of rubber or similar material, and with an annular outer bearingportion 0 also of rubber or similar material, and placed within the bushing c is a metal sleeve (1 through which is passed the spindle e on which the wheel or roller is mounted, and said sleeve 03 is preferably provided with end flanges d In practice, the bushing and the annular outer bearing member 0 are preferably made slightly elastic, or this quality may be confined to the annular outer bearing member 0 alone, but my invention is not limited to the use of the exact elements herein specified, as the bushing o and annular outer bearing niember 0 may be composed of fiber if desired, the only object in this connection being to provide aroller or wheel for casters of the class specified which will thoroughly insulate the article or articles to which said casters are applied and which will also serve to an extent to cushion said article or articles.

Having fully described my invention,-

what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is z-- A caster roller, comprising a main body part of insulating earthy material provided with an inner elastic bushing within which is a metallic sleeve, and an outer annular bearing member of elastic material.
