To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, FRANK firFnniiino- TON, a citizen of the United States, residing 'at Roanoke, in the county of Randolph and State of Alabama, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Folding or Collapsible Beds, of which the following is a specification. My invention relates to, an improvement in folding or collapsible beds, and more particularly to that class of bed which is ca pable of being collapsed into a sm'all c0mpass, and of bein moved beneath theordinar standard be 'lhe invention consistsin certain novel features of construction .and combinations of parts which will be hereinafter fully de scribed and pointed out in the claims.

In a bed, the combination with a bed frame, of posts, each post comprising an upper and an intermediate section. the sections slidably conzt'eted together, means for removahly connecting the upper sections to the intermediate sect-ions, means pivotalty connecting two of the upper sections to the irnme, means pivot-Ally connecting the remeining upper sections to the first-named sections whereby they can be swung into eiii'ieinent with. the other upper sections and then folded upon the frame.

In a bed, the combination with 9: bed frame, of posts, each post comprising e standard, tubular member and an upper member, the tubular members and standards being siidabiy connected together, means for connecting the tubular memhers and stand-- urds together when the tubular member is in extended position, means on the tubular members for supporting the frame, means pivotaliy connecting two of the upper postinenibers to the frame, and means for conneeting the upper post members together.
