Specification of Letters Patent.

To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, PEBBLE F. FRosr, a citizen of the United States, residing at Silverdale, in the county of Kitsap, State of Washington, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Waterproofing Compounds for Leather; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable other's skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to oiling compounds for leather goods, and more especially for boots and shoes, and the object of my invention is to provide a composition of the above described character, which when applied to a boot or shoe will render the same soft and pliable and at the same time absolutely water-proof.
In making one half gallon of my improved water-proof grease, I thoroughly mix together one third of a pint of melted rubber, one pint of oil of tar and two and two thirds pints of melted tallow. To give this compound color and luster, a small roportion of graphite may be added. As w1ll be readily understood the melted rubber thoroughly PEBBLE F. FROST. Witnesses:
