a citizen ofl Canada, residing yat Maidstone,

in the county of Esseri and Province of Ontario, Canada, have'invented certain new and useful Improvementsk in Mop-Wrlng-- ers, of which the following is a specication. y 2.,.

This invention relates to improvements in mop wringers, and its object is to'provide a simple, ncheap and convenientstructu-re.

To this end the invention consists in the matters hereinafter described and more particularly set forth inthe claims, reference being had to the accompanying drawings in which- A Figure 1, is a perspective view of a device embodying the invention; and Fig. 2, is a' side elevation of the same attached to a pail or bucket.

As shown in the drawings, 1 is a suitable yrectangular frame formed of a single length or strip of band iron :or lsimilar material formed on edge with its ends adjacent to each `other and turned outwardly at the middle of one end of the frame. These outturned ends form ears 2 between which `Va suitable clamping member is pivotally vse- .cured by a rivet 4. One j aw of the clamp is provided with `a screw-threaded opening to receive a thumb-screw 5, which may be. turned inward against the side of, a pail or bucket 6 upon the upper edge of which it is desired to secure the frame 1, and :clamp said edge of the pail between the jaws of the clamping member. The opposite end of the frame 1, is clamped to the `upper edge of the pail by detachable` clamping ymembers 'Z,

These clamps 7 are alsoy provided "with thumb-screws 8 engaging screw-threaded' openings in one jaw of the clamp to engage' the side of the pail. l f.

Near one endy of jthe frame is `aroll 9 upon a shaft 10 having bearings in the ysides of the frame. One end of the shaft is eX- tended and formed into a crank 11 for turning the roll. A second roll 12 is journaled between the ends of a Lbail 13 formed of band or strap iron, across which a rod' `14 extends parallel and adjacent to, said roll and through holes in the sides ofthe bail. In a mop wringer, the combination of a frame, clamping means for attaching the frame to the upper edge of the pail, a roll journaled on the frame, a crank handle for turning the roll, a bail slidably mounted upon the frame and having bearings intermediate its ends upon the frame, a roll j ournaled upon the lower end-s of the bail to be swung by the swinging of the bail on its bearings upward l beneath the roll on the frame into contact therewith, said bail being also adapted to swing to a vertical position to serve as a carryingbail, and `loops on the bail embracing the sides of the frame to attach the bail thereto.

` 3. In a mop wringer, the combination Qt a "rectangular frame having bearing notches in its sides, a roll journaled on the frame near one end thereof, means for clamping the frame to the upper edge of the pail, a bail, a roll journaled between the ends of the bail,

a rod extending across the bail parallel with theroll and having projecting ends engaging with the upper edges of the sides of the frame and the bearing notches therein, and

4and adjustable thereon for engaging a pail,

a roll journaled on the frame near one end thereoi,-a crank for turning said roll, a ball,

`a roll journaled between the ends of the bail,

a rod extending across the bail adjacent to the roll and projecting through the sides o the bail to form bearings therefor engaging the upper edges of the sides of the frame,

`loops on the rod loosely embracing the sides of the bail and frame,- and guard members attached to the sides of the frame and eX- tendng beneath the rolls near their ends.
