Be it known that I, Rose SMITH, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cleveland, in the county of Cuyahoga and State 20f Ohio, have invented a new and useful Electric'I-Ieater, of which the follo'wing is a specification.

In the sealed end 2 of the casing is aconcentric pin or pivot 10, whereby the shutter 11 is mounted for rotation within the casing, the said shutter being provided with a'segmental aperture 12, which is adapted to match or aline with or be moved in various adjustable positions with relation to the segmental opening 3 of the casing, said end 2 being further provided with the arcuate .slot or groove 13 for the engagement and movement of the button 14 which'is connected to the shutter 11, whereby the said shutter may be rotated to cause the aperture 13 to be placed in alinement with the aperture 3 of the casing or to cause the body portion of presently appear. To renew the lamp it is simply necessary to remove the insulated plug carrying the lamp socket, the lamp being unscrewed and a new one replaced in the ordinary manner.

1. An electric heater, comprising a suitable casing having a closed end with a light passage therein and an arcuate slot concentric thereof, a removable cap plug of insulating material mounted in the open end of said casing, a shutter carried by the closed end of the casing and provided with a passage movable into and out of matching relation with the passage of the closed end of the casing, a lamp socket for an incandescent lamp carried upon the inner face of the 11 W- able plug, and a switch operating means it: i

2. An electric heater, comprising a suitable casing having a closed end with a light passage therein and an arcuate slot concentricthereof, a removable cap plug ofinsulating material mounted in. the open end of said casing, a shutter carried by the closed end of the casing and provided With a passage movable into and out of matching relation with the passage of the closed end of the casing, a lamp socket for an incandescent lamp carried upon the inner face of the removable plug, a switch operating means for the lamp disposed upon the outer face of said cap plug, and a button carried by the shutter and disposed through the arcuate slot in the closed end of the casing to permit of the oscillation of the shutter Within the casing.
