Be it known that I, LoimN L. DAY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Manila, Philippine Islands, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Attachments for Type-Writers, of-which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to certain new and useful improvements in attachments for typewriters.

The objectv of my invention is to produce a container which may be secured to the frame of a typewriter in any desired manner and in which a rubber eraser may be held in convenient position to be reached by the operator.

My invention further consists in'providing a holder for an eraser of circular or similar shape, form the cover of the eraser holdlng receptacle. t

A further object of myinvention is to produce a device having the foregoing characteristics, which shall be simple, cheap to construct, composed of few parts and durable, and one which may be either attached to typewriters after they have been constructed, or which may be attached thereto during the manufacture of the machines.

With these and ther objects 'in view my invention consists in certain constructions,

combinations and arrangements of parts, the preferred form of which will be first described in connection with the accompanying drawin s and then the invention particularly pomted out in the appended claims. 1.. An attachment for typewriters, comprising a receptacle adapted to be secured to the frame of a typewriter, a bodily removable cover for said receptacle, and means extending from the under side of the cover to engage a rubber eraser.

2. An attachment for typewriters, comprising a receptacle adapted to be secured to a part ofa typewriting machine, a cover for said receptacle, a pair of spaced sprin arms extending downwardly from sai cover, said spring arms being provided with 1-5 means adapted to engage the opening in a circular rubber eraser.
