IMPROVED SELF-WAITING TABLE. l

vTo all whom it may concern- Be it known that I, W. W. HAWLnr, of Mount Morris, in the county ot Livingston, and State of New York, lhave invented a certain new` and useful Improvement in Self-Waiting` Tables; and I dohereby declare that the following is a full and exact description, reference .being had to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a plan, and A Figure 2, a central vertical section.

My improvement is of that class known as self- 4waiting, in which a central leaf is made to revolve overa fixed rim. v

My invention consists in hinging the sides of the Vrevolving leaf so that they may turn up, and combining wit-h the same la revolving cylinder beneath which serves as a receptacle for table-cloths, dishes, dpe.

In the drawings- A indicates the frame of the main table,`haviug a stationary rim or ledge, a, on which the plat-es and other appurtenances for eating are placed.

'lhis leaf is composed of a fixed central bar, d, and two'sides f f, hinged tothe bar so as to be turned up at pleasure, as shown at the right hand in tig. 1, and in dotted lines fig. 2.

' C indicates a cylinder' placed within the table-riln under the revolving leaf. lts bottoni is closed, but its top is open,'and it has a central eye or bearing, g, which turns on axis b, thus giving it arevolving inotion independent of the revolving leaf.

I am aware that a revolving leaf or center for hohling the dishes to be served has before beenknown.

lhe novelty in my invention consists in hinging thc sides of the leaf so that they may be turned up, and

combining with the same the inner' cylinder, which forms a receptacles for cloths and dishes. Such an arrangement in a seltlwaiting table I believe has never before been known.

VThat I claim as Iny invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

1. The folding leaf B f flincombination with the receptacle beneath it, the two 'parts khaving rotary motions independently of each other but with a coinmonv axis, as set forth.

- 2. The cylinder` O, suspended within the frame A,

vin combination with the circumferential stationary ledge a., for the purpose described.
