Abstract

Object of the invention: method and apparatuses for removing individual components from a gas mixture. Field of application: technology of separation of gas mixtures into components, mining industry during gas treatment of mine methane-air mixtures for recovery. Essence of invention: method of removing individual components of the gas mixture comprising twisting of a flow, separation of twisted flow into two forward-flow currents: peripheral current with predominance of heavy components in it, and central current with predominance in it of light components and removal of components through adjustable outlets of separated currents, in which the twisting of a flow is carried out with acceleration of a flow to a speed, whose tangential component exceeds the minimum circular velocity of complete twisting of a gas mixture and separation of twisted flow into peripheral and central currents occurs in the annular channel, in which the axial zone is free of flow and at the outlet of which the components of one current are partially removed at partial breaking of rotation of this current. Apparatuses for removal of light and heavy components of a gas mixture, which implement the method. Effect: increased efficiency of separation of components in forward-flow vortex tubes, while maintaining their high performance and economic suitability of their use, in particular, to enrich by methane a methane-air mixture and conditioning the mixture to the state suitable for recovery in cogeneration gas turbine installations and obtaining in them high quality electrical and thermal energy while reducing emissions of harmful gases into the atmosphere.
