Abstract

Subject matter of the invention: method and device for extracting individual components from a gas mixture. Field of use: gas mixture separation technology; mining industry – preparation of coal mine methane-air mixtures for utilization. Essence of the invention: the method for extracting individual components from gas mixtures, which involves swirling a flow, separating the swirled flow into two straight flows, namely a peripheral flow with a preponderance of heavy components and a central flow with a preponderance of light components, and extracting the components via controllable branch pipes for the separate flows, is characterized in that the flow is swirled so that it accelerates to a velocity having a tangential component that is greater than the minimum peripheral velocity of complete swirling of the gas mixture, and the swirled flow is separated into a peripheral flow and a central flow in an annular channel in which the axial region is free of flow and at the outlet (5) of which the components of one of the flows are partially extracted as the rotation of the flow in question is partially decelerated. Devices are also proposed for the implementation of the above method for extracting light and heavy components from a gas mixture.
