Abstract

Provided is a method for producing a pellet wherein increase in production of pellet and increase in ration of high crystal water ore can be achieved surely. In a great kiln system production method of iron ore pellet where an iron ore pellet is heated sequentially in a drying chamber (3), a water separation chamber (4) and a preheat chamber (5) while being moved on a traveling grate (2) and then calcined in a rotor kiln (9) equipped with a kiln burner (10), a plurality of burners (31) are arranged in a range equal to 1/3-0.98 times of the overall length (L) of the water separation chamber with the inlet (4b) of the water separation chamber as a reference point. Gas fuel is blown from the plurality of burners (31) into the water separation chamber (4) and combusted by residual oxygen in preheat chamber exhaust gas (A) introduced into the water separation chamber (4) thus raising the temperature of atmosphere in the water separation chamber excepting the region close to the inlet thereof.
