Abstract

The sliding table contains a narrow table top with legs, a set of boards fastened between themselves and table top latches, a rack with an axis, wheel blocks. When assembled, the boards are arranged vertically and the table in projection is equal to the plane of the table top.

Description

A useful model belongs to furniture, namely folding furniture.

In modern architecture, folding and sliding furniture are often used in the design and equipment of premises in order to transform the space and change its purpose at different times. For example, a bed that can be folded and hidden for the day to give the room other functions.

There are also folding chairs, armchairs and tables.

Different designs of sliding tables are known. For example, a round table, the tabletop of which is divided into two sliding parts and a third rectangular part is inserted between them, which increases the plane of the table if necessary.

The second type of table, which contains two equal rectangular parts that are fastened together with latches, fold one on top of the other and rotate relative to the frame with legs.

The third type includes a stand on legs and two folding parts of the tabletop, which, when assembled, hang on latches on both sides of the stand, and if necessary, are folded back and supported by additional movable legs.

All known systems have their advantages and disadvantages. The advantages include the fact that they can take up little space in the room when they are not used or partially used and can increase their area if necessary.

The small variability of their states can be considered as disadvantages. Mostly, these are two options: folded - unfolded. The table area increases or decreases by two times.

The second disadvantage is that when moving the table from one state to another, it is necessary to remove things, dishes, etc. located on it.

These shortcomings are eliminated in this useful model.

A useful model concerns a sliding table (Fig. 1, 2, 3, 4). The basic model of a sliding table includes a table top (1) with legs (4), boards (2) with bars (3) (Fig. 5), fastened between

A table with legs can have a small width and a considerable length. If necessary, the tabletop can be moved away from the rack to the required distance, while there is no need to remove things from it. Boards are added to the width of the table, which gradually come out of the rack.

The rack (7) can be fixed rigidly to the wall to provide greater stability to the structure during its assembly and disassembly.

In the folded state, the tabletop (1) is pushed as far as possible to the rack (7), the boards (2) are hidden in the rack and hang on latches. If necessary, the tabletop (1) is moved away from the rack (7), the boards (2) go around the wheels (5), take a horizontal position, rest against each other in the places of contact and create a rigid system thanks to the latches (11), which take over force of tension and keep them in this state. One of the boards (2) always rests on the wheels (5), thus supporting the entire worktop structure in a horizontal position. So that the last board (2) does not come out of engagement with the wheels (5), movement limiters (9) are installed on its bars (3) (Fig. 2, 4).

In order to fold the table, it is enough to move the table top (1) with legs (4) towards the rack (7).

Boards (2), crossing the wheels (5), hang on the latches (11) and hide in the rack (7). All this is done gradually and the number of table options depends on the number of used boards (2) in the structure.

In addition to the basic model of the table, other options are possible.

If you add another axis (b) with wheels (5) to the rack (7), place them in the lower part of the rack and increase the number of boards (2) that will go around these wheels and move up, then the surface of the table in the disassembled state will increase significantly (Fig. 6, 8). To give the table more resistance in this version, it can be equipped with additional legs (10) (Fig. 8).

Another possible option is when the table is performed as a double first option. In this case, the stand (7) is made twice as wide, equipped with two axes (6) with wheels (5) and two table tops (1) with legs (4) that move in opposite directions (Fig. 9).

The use of a useful model allows you to increase comfort in residential premises, because it is a rational use of their space.
