Abstract

The system and device for controlled thermonuclear fusion in a magnetic field having a FRC-topology and for energy conversion of nuclear fusion products directly to electric energy. In the variants to give the preference over, plasma ions are supported magnetically in FRC and plasma electrons electrostatically contain in a deep potential energy well made by means of regulation of superposed magnetic field. In such configuration the ions and electrons can have density and temperature enough to fuse them at collision under the influence of nuclear forces with forming the end-products in the beam shape of annular section. The energy is extracted from end-products in the process of their helical motion along reversed cyclotron transformation electrons. The advantage of invention is that on fuel plasmas fitted for application in a programmed content system and energy conversion progressive (aneutron) fuels are included.
