Abstract
A method is disclosed for manufacturing cold-formed, in particular cold-drawn, precision steel pipes for use, in particular, as cylinder pipes under pressure, with optimum admixture of one or more alloying elements, as well as impurities which result from the steel-making process. A soldered pipe blank which is seamlessly hot-formed or produced from a rolled strip, and has a defined initial state, is drawn into a finished pipe in one or more passes, and the pipe is tempered before the final pass.
