Abstract
A device for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots consists of a frame, a feed conveyer, a baffle brush, a cleaner, an activator, a finger gravity separator and an unloading conveyer. The cleaner is made as a hollow drive ball arranged on the frame in such a manner as to allow making rotational movements, with the upper loading neck and a lower unloading opening. The generatrix surface of the ball is made by round horizontal rods arranged with gaps. Inside the hollow ball an activator is arranged. The activator consists of a drive cantilevered shaft arranged from above at the end of which the internal ball made by round rods arranged vertically mounted with gaps is fixed. In doing so the internal ball of the activator is arranged inside of the cleaner asymmetrically in such a manner that the gap between the internal surfaces of the cleaner and the activator reduces in the downward direction.
