Abstract

A method for limiting the numbers and harmfulness of noctuids on hop plantations includes settling of laboratory cultures of Trichogramma into agrocenoses. At the end of summer and at the beginning of autumn, in the period of mass egg-laying of females of the rosy rustic moth (Hydraecia micacea Esp.) two settlings a laboratory culture of Trichogramma of the species Trichogramma pintoi Voeg. onto hop plants and wild grass plants surrounding hop gardens are carried out with an interval of 7-8 days, in an equivalent of 800 and 850 females per 100 m. In addition, in the spring-summer period the soil of row spacings is cultivated two times for a depth of 12-16 cm. Furthermore, in the period of the beginning of mass egg-laying of leaf-eating and cut noctuids three settlings of Trichogramma is carried out with a 6-8 day interval. In doing so in the first two settlings the species T. evanescens West. is used, and in the third settling Trichogramma of the species T. pintoi Voeg. is used.
