Abstract
Invention relates to the rolling-mill engineering and can be used for cold rolling of thin strips. The roll stand of twenty-high mill contains bed, set of rolls, which consists of two (upper and lower) roller pyramids, pressure device with mechanism of profiling, which is characterized by the fact that the control mechanism of profile is executed in the form of wedges, which are directed at an angle toward each other. The backup rolls of pyramid are located between wedges contacting them by bushings, which are located between bearings. The motion of wedge shall be parallel to the bisector of the angle, which forms wedges, with exception of clamping of the bushings between wedges. During motion of one wedge relative to the second one the bushing on supporting roll rotates, as a result of which it is rolled on fixed generatrix of the second wedge. Outer backup rolls are retained by a mechanism of balancing on the plates with guides established into the lower beds. For compensating the wear it is necessary to replace existing plates by other plates with appropriate sizes taking into account the wear of rolls.
