Abstract

A method of continuous steel casting includes protection of metal from secondary oxidation, refining and micro-alloying in a sectional intermediate ladle. An eutectic type refining slag is formed for the purpose of obtaining qualitative metal with low content of non-metallic inclusions and increase of the degree of assimilation of the micro-alloying elements in the receiving section of intermediate ladle. In the pouring sections a shielding slag of the same type is formed, which contains chemical compounds of micro-alloying elements as basic component.
