Abstract

A device for mounting of facade covering tiles (20) of the type that on their back side (26) have a downwardly directed supporting ledge (21) and on their front side (25) have a lap (22) and a downwardly directed tongue (23) and that are adapted to be arranged the one over the other on a facade of a building (30) with vertically adjacent tiles (20) overlapping each other at their upper and lower edges on such a way that the tongue (23) of each upper tile extends into the lap (22) of the downwards adjacent tile, which device comprises an elongated mounting profile (1) with a substantially plane waist (2) and a pair of flanges (3), arranged at opposite edges of its long side, each having an inner flange part (4) that is connected to the waist (2), and a discontinuous outer flange part (5) that extends from the waist (2) along a supporting plane (S) for supporting the back sides (26); of the facade covering tiles (20) and that present uniformly distributed mounting hooks (6) for carrying the facade covering tiles (20) by their supporting ledges (21). Further, at least one of the outer flange parts (5) comprises locking flanges (7) for locking the facade covering tiles (20) in the horizontal direction and prevent them from moving sideways, wherein the locking flanges (7) extend from the corresponding flange (3) inwards along the supporting plane (S) towards the centre of the waist and comprises an outwardly bent end part (8) arranged to bear on an inner side edge (24) of a tile (20), and wherein the waist (2) and the flanges (3) jointly form a vertical lead channel for leading down any moisture that enters between the inner side edges (24) of two tiles (20).

Description

The invention relates to a mounting profile, which is attached in a vertical position to the facade of a building for suspended installation of tiles on an external wall, especially tiles of this type, which includes horizontally elongated facade tiles made of stone material.

Such facade covering systems are known, for example, from patents EP 1 027 507 VI and EP 0 556 264 B1.

The tiles or stone tiles covered by this description are rectangular in shape and usually wider than they are tall. In the most common version of the embodiment of the invention, the stone tile has a size of 600 x 100 mm, but there is also a demand for a larger size stone tile, for example, with a height of twice as much, that is, 600 x 200 mm, which also began to be produced.

The weight of the stone tile should be such that after its installation it remains well fixed on the profile and under normal conditions is not exposed to bad weather conditions. The only thing that can dislodge the tile is bumps and jolts, especially if they are directed upwards or sideways. Patent application EP 0 556 264 B1 describes a locking flange that is specially installed to prevent the tile from lifting from its place. However, there is still no solution to prevent the stone tiles from shifting laterally or horizontally.

According to the facade covering systems of the prior art, stone tiles are laid with a certain interval between them. The intended vertical overlap of the tiles is that the bottom edge of the tile overlaps the top edge of the next tile below to prevent moisture and the like from getting between the tiles. However, there is no such overlap in the horizontal direction, so there is a vertical interval between the tiles, into which moisture can get.

The present invention provides a mounting profile and facade covering system, and includes improvements over the prior art in terms of lateral placement and moisture ingress.

This invention relates to a device for installing facade tiles of such a type that on its back side there is a support projection directed downwards, and on the front side in front of the support projection there is a depression and a tab directed downwards, and such tiles are overlapped on the facade of the building as , so that vertically adjacent tiles overlap each other in the area of the upper and lower edges, and the tongue of each upper tile enters the depression of the lower tile; such a device comprises an elongated mounting profile with a flat bottom and a pair of shelves located at opposite ends of the long side of the bottom, each of which has an inner shelf connected to the bottom and a discontinuous outer shelf extending from the bottom parallel to the bearing surface for supporting the back of the facade tiles and contains evenly spaced mounting hooks for fixing the facade tiles using its support protrusions. At least one of the outer shelves includes stops for fixing the facade tile in a horizontal direction and preventing it from sliding sideways, the stops extending from the corresponding shelf in the bearing surface towards the center of the bottom and having an edge curved outwardly, which rests against the inner side edge of the tile, and the bottom and the shelves together form a vertical channel for the removal of any moisture that enters between the inner side edges of two adjacent tiles.

With the help of the device according to this invention, such a result is achieved that the laid tile does not shift in the lateral direction. In addition, since the stops are directed inward towards the center of the mounting profile, it helps that the gap between two adjacent tiles is centered relative to the vertical channel formed by the bottom and shelves and prevents moisture from entering between the two mounted tiles.

Below, the invention is described with regard to individual variants of its implementation with references to the accompanying drawings, namely:

In the following detailed description, an embodiment of the device according to the present invention is presented, consisting of an elongated mounting profile 1, installed for fixing rectangular facade tiles 20, see especially fig. 2.

Each facade tile 20 has a rectangular front side 5, which is turned outward from the building and creates a visible facade of the building. The back side 26 of the tile has a downwardly directed supporting projection 21 for suspended installation of the tile, and the front side has a depression 22 and a downwardly directed tongue 23. Facade tiles 20 are attached overlapping each other to the facade of the building 30, and vertical adjacent tiles 20 overlap each other in the area of the upper and lower edges so that the tongue 23 of each tile goes into the depression 22 of the adjacent tile next from the bottom. This type of tile is already well known, so it is not described in detail here.

This invention relates to a mounting device, which in fig. 1 is shown in the form of an oblong mounting profile 1 made of sheet metal with a substantially flat bottom 2 and two shelves 3 located on two opposite sides of the bottom. Each of the shelves C has an inner shelf 4 connected to the bottom 2, as well as a non-continuous outer shelf 5, which runs parallel to the bottom 2 and forms a bearing surface (5) for supporting the back side 26 of each facade tile 20. Mounting hooks 6 are evenly spaced for fastening facade tiles 20 with the help of their supporting protrusions 21.

In the presented embodiment, the mounting hooks are made as bent sections of the outer shelf 5.

Usually, instead, the mounting hooks are made as a continuation of the inner shelf 4. Such a solution would be appropriate within the framework of the present invention, but the costs would increase due to the need to cut the hooks b. In addition, it is very convenient that the mounting hook is located in the center of the outer shelf 5, as this increases the support of the bearing surface 5 relative to the tile 20.

According to the present invention, at least one of the outer shelves 5 contains limiters 7 for horizontal fixation of the facade tiles 20 and preventing them from shifting laterally after installation. In the shown embodiments, the limiters 7 go from both shelves Z inward to the center of the bottom 2. Each of the limiters 7 has an outwardly curved edge 8, which serves to fasten the inner side edge 24 of the tile 20, and thus prevents the tile from shifting sideways. The bottom 2 and the shelves C jointly form a space that is a vertical channel for the removal of moisture that falls between the inner side edges 24 of the two tiles 20.

In the demonstrated embodiment, the outer shelves 5 have oppositely directed limiters 7 of equal length for the horizontal positioning of the facade tile 20 so that the gap between two adjacent tiles is centered relative to the corresponding mounting profile 1 and extends substantially in line with the bottom 2 of the mounting profile 1, as shown in fig. . 2. The length of the limiters 7 should be such that, with regard to the bottom 2 of the mounting profile, a small gap of 5-10 mm is formed between the edges 8 of two opposite limiters.

In an embodiment not shown, the length of the limiters 7 is instead such, relative to the bottom 2 of the mounting profile, that the outwardly curved edges 8 of the limiters 7 in the horizontal direction are located near the center or in the center of the bottom 2 of the mounting profile. In this version of the embodiment, the tile is fixed with a restriction of the opposite direction at the level of the edges 8, and the gap between two adjacent tiles 20, which rest against the edges 8 on opposite sides, depends on the thickness of the edge 8. When the edge of the limiter is placed substantially in the center of the bottom 2 of the mounting profile, the tiles 20 will also be centered relative to the corresponding mounting profile 1 so that the gap between them is in the center of the bottom 2 of the mounting profile 1. By providing the edge 8 of the limiters 7 with an additional edge of the desired length (not shown in the drawings), located between the two tiles 20, the desired width can be set the gap between two tiles is 20.

As can be seen from fig. 1 and 2, the installation profile 1 also has a vertical limiter 9, thanks to which the tiles do not shift vertically after their installation.

To facilitate the transportation of the mounting profiles 1 and to reduce the space required for transportation, the mounting profiles can be at least partially bent at the workplace. Therefore, it is advisable not to bend the limiters before transporting the profiles. Thus, since the inner shelf 4 and the mounting hooks b are inclined, the profiles can be inserted into each other, thereby significantly reducing the space required for them.

Claims (4)

1. A device for installing facade tiles (20) of such a type that on the back side (26) they have downwardly directed support protrusions (21), and on the front side (25) they have a depression (22) and a downwardly directed tongue (23) ; and the tiles are attached to the facade of the building (30) so that vertically adjacent tiles (20) overlap each other in the area of their upper and lower edges, and the tab (23) of each tile from above enters the depression (22) of the next adjacent tile from below; such a device comprises an oblong mounting profile (1) with a substantially flat bottom (2) and a pair of shelves (3) located at opposite ends of its long sides, each having an inner shelf (4) which is connected to the bottom (2), and a non-continuous outer shelf (5), which extends from the bottom (2) parallel to the supporting surface (5) for supporting the back sides (26) of the facade tiles (20) and contains evenly spaced mounting hooks (b) for fixing the facade tiles (20) with the help of supporting protrusions (21), which is characterized by the fact that at least one of the outer shelves (5) has limiters (7) for fixing the facade tiles (20) in the horizontal direction and preventing them from shifting to the side, and the limiters (7) come from the corresponding shelf (3) parallel to the bearing surface (5) in the direction of the center of the bottom and have an outwardly curved edge (8) that serves to fix the inner side edge (24) of the tile (20), and the bottom (2) and the shelves (3) jointly form a vertical channel for the removal of any moisture that falls between the inner side edges (24) of the two tiles (20). 2. The device according to item I, which is characterized by the fact that each of the outer shelves (5) contains opposite limiters (7) of equal length for positioning the facade tile (20) in the horizontal direction so that the gap between two adjacent tiles (20) is centered relative to the corresponding mounting profile (1) and, essentially, relative to the center of the bottom (2) of the mounting profile (1). 3. The device according to claim 1, which is characterized by the fact that the length of the limiters (7) is such that, relative to the bottom (2) of the mounting profile, the outwardly curved edge (8) of the limiter (7) is placed in the horizontal direction in such a way that it is parallel to the line of the center of the bottom (2) of the mounting profile, and two adjacent tiles located on opposite edges (8) are centered relative to the corresponding mounting profile (1) so that the gap between them is centered relative to the bottom (2) of the mounting profile (1). 4.
