Abstract

The applied unit for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots has a feeding conveyer, a pile guide, a cleaner, which consists of cleaning elements, mounted as a cascade, formed as pairs of rollers, which counter rotate and have in the longitudinal-vertical cross-section a shape of parts of a parabola, in the hollows of which, arranged below, driving elastic brushes are mounted. The cleaning elements are connected by rear parts in pairs inside of the cleaner, form on the outer side two cleaning beds, arranged as inclined ones in such a manner that together with catchers, mounted opposite, which consist of elastic planes of an arched shape, the upper ends of which are fixed immovably, and the lower ones rest on compression springs, form the cleaning assembly. The cleaning assembly consists of three barrel-like cascades arranged at different levels with the sizes of said cascades are increased downwards. The elements in each of the cascades are connected therebetween by mechanisms of changing and fixing the distance between lower parts thereof. The lower ends of the driving elastic brushes are opposite of the middle parts of the elastic catchers. Under the lower ends of each cleaning bed a blanket cleaner and an unloading conveyer are mounted.
