Abstract

The method for treating the comminuted fracture, the pseudoarthrosis and the fracture of the proximal femur following metal osteosynthesis provides for decortication, reposition of the bone fragments and their fixation. The decortications (in the case of the pseudoarthrosis), the explorative reposition of the large bone fragments and the resection (osteotomy) of the neck of femur is provided by the direct projection access into the area of the comminuted fracture or the pseudoarthrosis of the proximal femur. The medullar canal of proximal and distal femur is treated successively. The leg of endoprosthesis is enclosed and the reposition of the bone fragments is provided. For osteosynthesis of the proximal femur, the wires and the cerclage are used. Finally, endoprosthesis is fixed with the bone cement.
