Abstract
A method for improving the liveweight gain of piglets in the suckling period includes feeding the sows after farrow for 3 days with a biologically active preparation of the following composition: normal saline and sodium glutaminate, at a rate of 20 ml. The sows are additionally fed with trace element germanium at a rate of 11-12 µg per 1 kg of liveweight for 10 days prior to farrow and 10 days thereafter.
