Abstract

A bottle structure for a bicycle handlebar, includes a bottle body having an integrally-formed bottle and bottle coupling structure. The bottle coupling structure is directly connected to the bicycle handlebar, and is dissociable from the bicycle handlebar. The integrated bottle structure may include additional features such as a straw structure or other devices.

Description

Bicycle handle set and its accessory structure

This application claims priority to and/or the benefit of U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 63/033,173, filed June 1, 2020, the contents of which are incorporated herein in their entirety.

The invention relates to a handlebar set for a bicycle, in particular to a handlebar set with an accessory structure.

When riding a bicycle during a routine outdoor activity, mounting mechanisms for on-bike accessory structures for portability, such as water bottles, are often sought. As disclosed in US Patent Application Publication No. 2016/0046420, a conventional bicycle water bottle is mounted on and supported by a bracket strap on the upper side of a handlebar of the bicycle. However, in such an arrangement, the size of the water bottle that can be stably supported by the handlebar is limited, and the position of the water bottle relative to the handlebar can be aerodynamically disadvantageous to the bicycle.

Another kind of conventional water bottle is arranged under this handlebar, and hangs on a support that is fixed on a faucet of this bicycle. However, the combination of the conventional water bottle and the bracket is only suitable for a specific faucet. For bicycles with faucets of different sizes, brackets of different sizes are correspondingly required for the water bottles to be mounted on the bicycles.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an accessory structure which overcomes at least one of the known disadvantages.

Thus, the accessory structure, here a bottle structure, is adapted for a bicycle handlebar and includes a bottle body with an integrally formed bottle coupling structure. The bottle coupling structure is directly connected to and detachable from the bicycle handlebar.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a handle set which alleviates at least one of the conventional disadvantages.

Thus, the handlebar set is suitable for a bicycle, comprising a handlebar and an accessory or bottle structure. The handle has a handle coupling structure. The bottle structure includes a bottle body having an integrally formed bottle coupling structure. The bottle coupling structure is directly connected to the handle coupling structure of the handle and is detachable.

Before the present invention is described in detail, it should be noted that where considered appropriate, reference numerals, or terminating reference numerals, are repeated among the figures to indicate corresponding or similar elements, which may be of like nature.

A handle set may include a coupling structure for one or more accessories. Such accessories may include a utility such as an enclosure for carrying water during a bicycle ride. The utility includes corresponding features to mount to the coupling structure. The utility tool can be detached from the coupling structure.

Referring to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 , the handle set of the present invention is installed on a faucet 11 of a bicycle 1 and includes a handle 2 and an accessory bottle structure 3 . The handle 2 has a handle coupling structure 20 and a faucet clip 23 . The accessory bottle structure 3 includes a bottle body 31 , which is used as a beverage container and has a male accessory coupling structure (in this example, a bottle coupling structure 310 ). The bottle coupling structure 310 can be directly connected to the handle coupling structure 20 of the handle 2, so that the bottle structure 3 is mounted to the handle 2 (see FIG. 3 ), and can be disengaged from the handle coupling structure 20, so that the bottle structure 3 is separated from the handle 2 (see FIG. 4 ). The faucet clip 23 is mounted on the faucet 11 of the bicycle 1 .

Referring further to FIG. 5 and FIG. 6 , the handlebar coupling structure 20 includes two fitting grooves 21 spaced apart from each other along a lateral direction of the bicycle 1 . The bottle coupling structure 310 includes two protrusions 311 (only one is visible), which are respectively located on two opposite sides of the bottle body 31 , respectively and directly fit into the fitting groove 21 of the handle 2 , and can be disengaged from the fitting groove 21 . In one embodiment, each engaging groove 21 substantially extends along a front-rear direction of the bicycle 1 .

In one embodiment, the handlebar coupling structure 20 further includes two handlebar connecting holes 22 , which respectively communicate with the fitting groove 21 in space (see FIG. 5 ) and extend in a direction different from that of the fitting groove 21 . Each protrusion 311 of the bottle body 31 is formed with a fitting attachment hole, in this case a bottle attachment hole 312 (only one is visible), which is aligned with a respective one of the handle attachment holes 22 and allows a fastener 4 (see FIG. 2 ) to be inserted into a respective one of the handle attachment holes 22 to extend therein so that the bottle structure 3 is securely mounted to the handle 2. In one embodiment, at least one of the vial connection holes 312 is configured as a screw hole. In one embodiment, at least one of the vial connection holes 312 is configured as a through hole. The fastener 4 can be configured as a bolt, a screw or similar elements.

Referring back to FIG. 2 , in one embodiment, the bottle structure 3 further includes a straw 32 connected to the bottle body 31 , and a straw holder 33 mounted on the straw 32 . In one embodiment, the bottle structure 3 further includes two magnets 34 (see FIG. 7 ), which are respectively mounted on the bottle body 31 and the straw holder 33 and magnetically coupled to each other to position the straw 32 relative to the bottle body 31 . In one embodiment, the bottle structure 3 further includes two cover parts 35 (see FIG. 7 ), which are respectively installed on the bottle body 31 and the straw fixing part 33 and cover the magnets 34 respectively.

Referring back to FIG. 2 , in one embodiment, most of the bottle body 31 is located below the handle 2 , and the bottle structure 3 further includes a cover 39 connected to the bottle body 31 to make the bottle structure 3 streamlined. In one embodiment, the cover 39 is connected to the rear side of the bottle body 31 and extends around the faucet 11 of the bicycle 1 (see FIG. 1 ) so that the combination of the handle set and the faucet 11 is streamlined.

In brief, since the bottle structure 3 is directly connected to the handle 2 via its integrally formed bottle coupling structure 310 , the handle set of the present invention is suitable for faucets of different sizes. In addition, since most of the bottle body 31 is located below the handle 2 , the volume of the bottle body 31 is not limited by additional components (see FIG. 1 ), such as a rest or auxiliary grip installed on the handle 2 .

Claims (15)

A bottle structure suitable for a bicycle handlebar, comprising: a bottle body having an integrally formed bottle coupling structure adapted to be directly connected to the bicycle handlebar and detachable, wherein the bottle coupling structure includes at least one protrusion adapted to directly engage the bicycle handlebar and detachable, and wherein the at least one protrusion is formed with a bottle connection hole adapted to allow a fastener fixed to the bicycle handlebar to extend therethrough. The bottle structure according to claim 1, wherein the connection hole is configured as a screw hole. The bottle structure according to claim 1, wherein the connection hole is configured as a through hole. The bottle structure as claimed in claim 1, wherein the bottle coupling structure includes two protrusions of the protrusions, which are respectively located on two opposite sides of the bottle body and are suitable for directly fitting the bicycle handlebar. The bottle structure as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a straw connected to the bottle body, a straw holder mounted on the straw, and two magnets respectively mounted on the bottle body and the straw holder and magnetically coupled to position the straw relative to the bottle. The bottle structure as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a cover connected to the bottle body so that the bottle structure is streamlined. A handlebar set, suitable for a bicycle, comprising: a handlebar with a handlebar coupling structure; and a bottle structure, including a bottle body with an integrally formed bottle coupling structure, the bottle coupling structure is directly connected to the handlebar coupling structure of the handlebar and can be disengaged, wherein the bottle coupling structure includes at least one protrusion, the at least one protrusion is directly fitted into the handlebar and can be disengaged, and wherein the at least one protrusion of the bottle body is formed with a bottle connecting hole, and the bottle connecting hole is suitable for allowing A fastener fixed to the handle extends therethrough. The handle set according to claim 7, wherein the handle coupling structure includes at least one fitting groove, and the at least one protrusion directly fits into the at least one fitting groove of the handle and can be disengaged. The handle set according to claim 8, wherein the handle coupling structure further includes a handle connection hole, the handle connection hole is in spatial communication with the at least one fitting groove and extends in a direction different from the direction of the at least one fitting groove, the bottle connection hole is aligned with the handle connection hole and is suitable for allowing the fastener inserted into the handle connection hole to extend therein. The handle set according to claim 9, wherein the bottle connection hole is configured as a screw hole. The handle set according to claim 9, wherein the bottle connection hole is configured as a through hole. The handle set according to claim 8, wherein the handle coupling structure includes two fitting grooves of the fitting grooves, and the bottle coupling structure includes two protrusions of the protrusions, which are respectively located on two opposite sides of the bottle body and respectively and directly fit into the fitting grooves of the handle. The handle set according to claim 7, wherein the bottle structure further includes a straw connected to the bottle body, a straw holder mounted on the straw, and two magnets, the magnets are respectively mounted on the bottle body and the straw holder and are magnetically coupled to position the straw relative to the bottle. The handle set as claimed in claim 7, wherein the bottle structure further includes a cover connected to the bottle body to make the bottle structure streamlined. An accessory for mounting to a handle, comprising: a practical tool including a male accessory coupling structure, at least one protrusion and an accessory connection hole on one side of the at least one protrusion, the at least one protrusion and the accessory connection hole are sized and shaped to fit into a corresponding fitting groove of a handle.
