Abstract

A bottle structure for a bicycle handlebar, includes a bottle body having an integrally-formed bottle and bottle coupling structure. The bottle coupling structure is directly connected to the bicycle handlebar, and is dissociable from the bicycle handlebar. The integrated bottle structure may include additional features such as a straw structure or other devices.

Description

Bicycle handlebar group and its accessories structure

This application claims priority to and/or the benefit of US Provisional Patent Application No. 63/033,173, filed June 1, 2020, the contents of which are incorporated herein in their entirety.

The present invention relates to a bicycle handlebar group, in particular to a handlebar group with an accessory structure.

When riding a bicycle during routine outdoor activities, a mounting mechanism for accessory structures on the bicycle, such as water bottles, is often sought for portability. As disclosed in US Patent Application Publication No. 2016/0046420, the conventional bicycle water bottle is mounted on and supported by a bracket strap on the upper side of a handlebar of the bicycle. However, in this configuration, the size of the water bottle that can be stably supported by the handlebar is limited, and the location of the water bottle relative to the handlebar can be aerodynamically detrimental to the bicycle.

Another conventional water bottle is disposed below the handlebar and mounted on a bracket fixed to a faucet of the bicycle. However, the combination of the conventional water bottle and the holder is only suitable for certain faucets. For bicycles with different sized faucets, different sized brackets are correspondingly required to mount the water bottle on the bicycle.

Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide an accessory structure that overcomes at least one of the known disadvantages.

Thus, the accessory structure, here a bottle structure, is suitable for use with a bicycle handlebar and includes a bottle body having an integrally formed bottle coupling structure. The bottle coupling structure is directly connected to and detachable from the bicycle handlebar.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a handle set that alleviates at least one of the known drawbacks.

Thus, the handlebar set is suitable for a bicycle, comprising a handlebar and an accessory or bottle structure. The handle has a handle coupling structure. The bottle structure includes a bottle body having an integrally formed bottle coupling structure. The bottle coupling structure is directly connected to the handle coupling structure of the handle and is detachable.

Before the present invention is described in detail, it should be noted that where considered appropriate, reference numerals or the ends of reference numerals have been repeated among the drawings to indicate corresponding or similar elements that may have a similar nature.

A handle set may include a coupling structure for one or more accessories. Such accessories may include a utility, such as an enclosed space for loading water during a bicycle ride. The utility includes corresponding features for mounting to the coupling structure. The utility is detachable from the coupling structure.

Referring to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 , the handlebar set of the present invention is installed on a faucet 11 of a bicycle 1 , and includes a handlebar 2 and an accessory bottle structure 3 . The handle 2 has a handle coupling structure 20 and a faucet clip 23 . The accessory bottle structure 3 includes a bottle body 31 , which serves as a beverage container and has a male accessory coupling structure (in this example, a bottle coupling structure 310 ). The bottle coupling structure 310 can be directly connected to the handle coupling structure 20 of the handle 2, so that the bottle structure 3 is mounted to the handle 2 (see FIG. 3), and can be disengaged by the handle coupling structure 20, so that the bottle structure 3 is attached to the handle 2 (see FIG. 3) 3 Detach from handle 2 (see Figure 4). The faucet clip portion 23 is attached to the faucet 11 of the bicycle 1 .

Further referring to FIGS. 5 and 6 , the handlebar coupling structure 20 includes two fitting grooves 21 spaced apart from each other along one side direction of the bicycle 1 . The bottle coupling structure 310 includes two protrusions 311 (only one is visible), which are located on opposite sides of the bottle body 31 respectively, and are respectively and directly fitted with the fitting grooves 21 of the handle 2, and can be inserted from the fitting grooves 21. break away. In one embodiment, each fitting groove 21 extends substantially along a front-rear direction of the bicycle 1 .

In one embodiment, the handle coupling structure 20 further includes two handle connecting holes 22 , which are respectively connected with the fitting groove 21 in space (see FIG. 5 ) and extend in a direction different from the direction of the fitting groove 21 . Each protrusion 311 of the bottle body 31 is formed with a fitting connection hole, in this case a bottle connection hole 312 (only one is visible), which aligns with the respective handle connection hole in the handle connection hole 22 and allows the fastener 4 (See FIG. 2 ) The respective handle connection holes 22 are inserted into the handle connection holes 22 to extend therein, so that the bottle structure 3 is securely attached to the handle 2 . In one embodiment, at least one of the bottle connection holes 312 is configured as a screw hole. In one embodiment, at least one of the vial connection holes 312 is configured as a through hole. Fastener 4 may be configured as a bolt, a screw or similar element.

Referring back to FIG. 2 , in one embodiment, the bottle structure 3 further includes a straw 32 connected to the bottle body 31 , and a straw fixing member 33 mounted on the straw 32 . In one embodiment, the bottle structure 3 further includes two magnets 34 (see FIG. 7 ), which are respectively mounted on the bottle body 31 and the straw fixing member 33 and are magnetically coupled to each other to position the straw 32 relative to the bottle body 31 . In one embodiment, the bottle structure 3 further includes two cover members 35 (see FIG. 7 ), which are respectively mounted on the bottle body 31 and the straw fixing member 33 and cover the magnets 34 respectively.

Referring back to FIG. 2 , in one embodiment, most of the bottle body 31 is located under the handle 2 , and the bottle structure 3 further includes a cover 39 connected to the bottle body 31 to make the bottle structure 3 streamline. In one embodiment, the cover member 39 is attached to the rear side of the bottle body 31 and extends around the faucet 11 of the bicycle 1 (see FIG. 1 ) to streamline the combination of the handlebar set and the faucet 11 .

Briefly, since the bottle structure 3 is directly connected to the handle 2 through its integrally formed bottle coupling structure 310, the handle set of the present invention is suitable for faucets of different sizes. In addition, since most of the bottle body 31 is located under the handle 2 , the volume of the bottle body 31 is not limited by additional elements (refer to FIG. 1 ), such as a hand rest or an auxiliary handle mounted on the handle 2 .

Claims (17)

A bottle structure, suitable for a bicycle handlebar, comprising: A bottle body having an integrally formed bottle coupling structure suitable for direct connection to the bicycle handlebar and detachable. The bottle structure of claim 1, wherein the bottle coupling structure includes at least one protrusion adapted to engage directly with the bicycle handlebar and be detachable. The bottle structure of claim 2, wherein the bottle coupling structure comprises two protrusions of the protrusions, which are respectively located on two opposite sides of the bottle body and are suitable for directly fitting the bicycle handlebar. The bottle structure according to claim 1, further comprising a straw connected to the bottle body, a straw fixing member mounted on the straw, and two magnets, the magnets being respectively installed on the bottle body and the straw fixing member and is magnetically coupled to position the straw relative to the bottle.
