Description

電子模組及其資訊媒體
本發明係一般關於電子組件,尤指旋轉作動之電子組件,使用時間受到限制。
此節旨在引導讀者瞭解技術之諸面向,與下述和/或申請專利範圍所請求之本發明諸面向相關。此項討論相信有助於提供背景資訊給讀者,以便更加明瞭本發明諸面向。因此,須知此等陳述係就此閱讀,並會引入先前技術。
射頻識別(RFID)使用物體RFID籤條(以下簡稱「籤條」),與傳輸之無線電波互動,例如在防竊之系統中,供應連鎖管理或進出建築物。典型籤條包括至少二部份:接收和傳送射頻(RF)訊號,以及儲存和處理資訊並處理訊號之積體電路。有些籤條稱為「主動式」,包括電池,因此有自主性,而「被動式」籤條無電池,故有賴外部電源,通常是接收之RF訊號,以適當發生功用。
例如WO 2006032613號曾倡議,在CD和DVD等數位支座上或內使用籤條。此舉可保護數位支座上之內容(存取內容所必須之資訊,包括在籤條內),或儲存有關內容回放之優先。
US 2008/0157974 A1提供一種解決方案,使RFID籤條可根據時間而禁能(和稍後再度致能)。此解決方案例如可用在影碟出租連鎖店,遇到購買DVD事件時,作動倒數計時器。RFID籤條即被致能,直到倒數計時器屆止,其後RFID籤條即被禁能。雖然此解決方案可達成其目標,亦稍有限制其可能性,因倒數是在事件發生時立即開始,然後毫不容情地倒數計算。
US 2006/250923號說明旋轉式作動機制,產生對資料儲存媒體之修飾,使上面之資料不能讀取和存取。此等機制,包含流體媒體化機制和機械式開關在內,實體修飾媒體,例如改變光學媒體之讀取表面,但無論如何不能用來限制時間,例如US 2008/0157974 A1所能為。
故亟需有一解決方案,提供先前技術之替代方式。本發明即提供此方案。
本發明第一要旨,係針對一電子模組,包括通訊機構,適於與外部機件互動;電源;組件,適於處理從通訊機構接收之第一資訊,並發送第二資訊至通訊機構,第二資訊旨在供外部機件用。電子模組又包括時間使用率限制器,使電子模組使用預定時間後禁能,並有開關,在經預定旋轉速率時,提供電力給時間使用率限制器,故時間使用率限制器可保持使用時之時間軌道。
在第一較佳具體例中,旋轉速率超過臨界值時,開關會提供電力。優點是開關提供的電力,也提供給組件。
在第二較佳具體例中,通訊機構是天線。優點是電子組件係射頻識別(RFID)籤條。又一優點是天線又適於有電源的功能,把射頻(RF)訊號轉換成電能。
在第三較佳具體例中,電源係電池。
在第四較佳具體例中,時間使用率限制器藉實體毀壞電子模組之一部份,對電子機件禁能。
在第二要旨中,本發明針對一種資訊媒體,適於儲存內容,並包括第一要旨之電子模組。
在第一具體例中,利用可從電子模組存取之資訊,增進或致能存取資訊媒體內儲存之內容。
茲參照附圖所示非限制性實施例,說明本發明較佳特點如下。
歐洲專利申請案09305533.3揭示一種RFID籤條,旨在使用於旋轉式支座,以DVD、CD-ROM、藍光碟等為宜。RFID籤條包括開關,在一具體例中可確保RFID籤條不會通訊,除非支座至少以最低速率旋轉。先前技術RFID籤條使用例確保,只有所用支座的RFID籤條,會回應RFID閱讀機的要求,而非位於附近的支座上或其內之RFID籤條。第1圖表示此RFID籤條之具體例。籤條110固定於旋轉式支座100,即可旋轉之支座。籤條110包括電源112、旋轉開關114,和組件116,以具有處理器和記憶器能力為佳。位於電源112和組件116之間的是旋轉開關114,配置成切斷電源112與組件116間之電氣接觸,除非經歷充分的旋轉速率。旋轉支座若不充分快速旋轉,組件116即無電力。當組件116有電力時,其功能一如先前技術的籤條之有電力組件,顯然可與RFID閱讀器通訊。
本發明主要構想是,在到達時間限制時,對旋轉開關之功能性禁能,藉以對電子模組之使用率加以時間性限制。惟本發明與US 2008/0157974 A1不同,在於先前技術使用「絕對」時間,本發明則適於限制RFID籤條之自動性使用。為說明差異,先前技術解決方案自租用時間算起,限制使用連續24小時,而本發明例如可限制使用4小時,分散到實際上不限制時間。
第2圖簡略表示本發明較佳具體例,受時間限制的旋轉作動RFID籤條。RFID籤條210固定或加設於旋轉式支座200內。RFID籤條210包括電源212,例如電池或天線,把無線電波變換成電能。RFID籤條210又包括旋轉開關214、組件216(例如處理器)和時間使用率限制器218。旋轉開關214適於在受到充分旋轉速率時,提供電力給組件216和時間使用率限制器218。
時間使用率限制器218包括倒數計時器,從預定數值遞減。當倒數計時器到達零時,時間使用率限制器218對RFID籤條210禁能。然而,時間使用率限制器218只有在充分旋轉速率時才有電力,只有在此情況下,倒數計時器才遞減。須知支座不旋轉時,很不容易發生此事,因此只有在至少接近所欲數值時才有用。
時間使用率限制器218最好透過實體作動,對RFID籤條210禁能,使電子模組的電源供應器永久禁能,惟亦可使RFID籤條210局部禁能。在前一情況下,此作動會把熔絲永久燒燬;在後一情況下,此作動會命令組件進入不作業狀態,即不可能回頭。在任何情況下,倒數計時器屆止時,RFID即不會有回應。
在較佳具體例中,時間使用率限制器內嵌於旋轉開關或組件;最好是三個內嵌於一個實體組件。內嵌使其更難以避過禁能。
第3圖表示本發明較佳具體例的RFID籤條310之實施方式。RFID籤條310包括組件316,以天線312為具體例之電源,和旋轉開關314。天線312適於RF通訊,即發送和接收RF訊號,並做為電源供應器,把RF訊號轉換為電能。旋轉開關314包括第一部份,受到充分旋轉能時,可活動以打破短路連接,否則即建立連接,即旋轉能充分時,提供電能。凡專家均知,當電源為天線時,最好只用到捷徑連接,而為電池時則否。
RFID籤條310又包括時間使用率限制器318,適於從預定值倒數。到達零時,即採取作動,對RFID籤條310禁能。迄今已記載過一對禁能解決方案;第3圖之時間使用率計時器318例,最好藉中斷電路,對RFID籤條310禁能,故組件316之輸出永遠不會到達天線312。自然,時間使用率計時器318同樣可置於組件316之前,在RFID籤條310被禁能時,任何輸入均無法到達組件316。
凡專家均知,天線312、旋轉開關314和組件316亦可串聯配置(任何適當具體例亦然)。
第4a和4b圖表示旋轉開關之具體例。較佳具體例是無旋轉能時,不會讓籤條有動力。
旋轉開關414包括罩殼410。第一和第二電極430,440進入罩殼410,彼此相隔一段距離。第一和第二電極430,440間之空間,可利用活動導電連接器450跨越,配置在彈簧460上。連接器450上有重物420,但此重物420自然可為連接器450之整體部份。
第4a圖表示對旋轉開關414無旋轉速率或有不充分旋轉速率之情形。在此情況下,連接器450連接第一和第二電極430,440,因此造成短路,從而使並聯組件無動力。另言之,當旋轉開關414旋轉不足,組件即無作用。
第4b圖表示對旋轉開關414施以充分旋轉速率470之情形。旋轉對重物420和連接器450賦予之旋轉力,大於彈簧460提供之相反力。如此即中斷第一和第二電極430,440間之接觸,意即短路不再作用。電源提供之能量到達組件,給予動力。
第5a,5b,5c圖表示媒體500,例如DVD,裝設有本發明較佳具體例之RFID籤條510。媒體500是在外部機件,諸如媒體500之閱讀器,例如DVD播放器的天線520通訊範圍內。
在第5a圖內,表示天線520如何向RFID籤條510之天線(圖上未示)發送RF能522。惟因媒體並未充分旋轉至對RFID籤條510之組件(圖上未示)給予動力,故RFID籤條510無回應。
另方面,第5b圖所表示情況是,媒體500及其RFID籤條510受到充分旋轉能530,結合旋轉開關(圖上未示),以供電給組件。在此情況下,當天線520發送RF訊號524至RFID籤條510,後者即能處理訊號524內之資訊,發出回應526。此外,亦供電給時間使用率限制器,計時器即倒數。
最後,第5c圖表示情況是,倒數計時器已到零,而RFID籤條被禁能。即使對旋轉開關施以充分旋轉能530,對訊號528無回應,一如時間使用率限制器(圖上未示)使RFID籤條510禁能。
凡專家均知,籤條510提供之資訊可致能使用(可能增進或改善)媒體500上的內容。欲得此資料,閱讀器發送RF訊號至籤條,後者送回所需資訊。例如,資訊可為解密碼鍵,是籤條組件(即其處理器)進行計算的結果;描繪媒體上內容(諸如容量、語言、副標題)之相關資訊;或者以電腦遊戲器而言,有關遊戲器現狀(諸如字元設備和特徵,可用車輛和賽車軌道、參賽者高分……)之資訊。
須知本發明可確保使用在旋轉支座上或其內的RFID籤條之時間限制。
須知籤條是生產模組方便而經濟的方式,可即附設於任何適當支座。惟亦可包含籤條做為較大結構之一部份,旨在使用中旋轉,例如包含在支座內。

Claims (10)

  1. 一種電子模組(210),包括:通訊機構(212),適於與外部機件互動;電源(212);組件(216),適於處理從通訊機構(212)接到之第一資訊,並發送第二資訊至通訊機構(212),第二資訊係旨在供外部機件用;時間使用率限制器(218),於使用預定時間後,對電子模組(210)禁能;此電子模組之特徵為,又包括開關(214),受到預定旋轉速率(470)時,適於提供動力給時間使用率限制器(218),故時間使用率限制器(218)使用上可保持時間軌道者。
  2. 如申請專利範圍第1項之電子模組,其中開關(214)在旋轉速率(470)超過臨限值時,即提供動力者。
  3. 如申請專利範圍第2項之電子模組,其中開關(214)提供之動力,亦提供給組件(216)者。
  4. 如申請專利範圍第1項之電子模組,其中通訊機構(212)係天線者。
  5. 如申請專利範圍第4項之電子模組,其中電子組件(210)係射頻識別籤條者。
  6. 如申請專利範圍第4項之電子模組,其中天線(212)又適於藉射頻訊號轉換成電能,而有電源(212)之功能者。
