Abstract

Disclosed is a motion setting method of the electromotive servo press for easily setting motion of the electromotive servo pressing in an electromotive servo press that converts linear power in a substantially horizontal direction into a sliding movement in a vertical direction by means of a link mechanism. The method comprises the steps of: setting a stroke that a slider (9) slides, determining number of stages for dividing the sliding stroke automatically according to length of the sliding stroke, based on the number of stages as determined for the sliding stroke based on the length of the sliding stroke, setting the slider positions to be the start position and end positions within the area of each stage. In addition, the sliding stroke of the slider (9) and the servo-motor (15) may be set to use the use maximum rpm, to automatically determine the number of stages of the sliding stroke based on the length of the sliding stroke and the maximum rpm of the motor.
