Abstract

An electrolyze-assisting zeolite adsorption method for eliminating ammonium-nitrogen includes providing dual-containers electrolyzing reactor and a zeolite adsorber. The ammonium-nitrogen solution is placed in dual-containers electrolyzing reactor for electrolyzing reaction. The ammonium-nitrogen solution in the dual-containers is respectively turned into the status of one toward acid and the other toward alkaline. Ammonium-nitrogen in acid environment mainly exists as ionized ammonium and it is easy for eliminating by zeolite adsorption; meanwhile the ammonium-nitrogen in alkaline environment mainly exists as free ammonium and can be eliminated by air-stripping. After treatment, the acid and alkaline solutions are mixed and become neutral and easy to exhaust. The elimination efficiency is sufficiently increased by electrolyze-assisting zeolite adsorption for ammonium-nitrogen; and the adsorption statutory zeolite can be regenerated by switching electrodes. The consumption of adsorption material is very little and the cost of regeneration is very low, and it does not need to add chemicals during the process so the processing cost is low.
