Abstract

A pigment masterbatch composition for polyolefin resins, characterized by containing as a carrier resin a copolymer (A) comprising one or more polymer chains which each is a homo- or copolymer of a C2-20 alpha-olefin and one or more copolymer chains made up of units derived from at least one of cycloolefins, aromatic vinyl monomers, and vinyl monomers containing a polar group, the two kinds of chains being bonded to each other through grafting or block bonding. The masterbatch composition is highly effective in improving pigment dispersibility in the coloring of a polyolefin resin and thereby prevent the polyolefin resin from suffering a decrease in material properties.
