Abstract

A circulation unit is provided to enable circulating of air along side walls of a storage unit, which is capable of storing an object being refrigerated, such as polished rice, in a substantially closed condition, and the air is cooled by a Peltier cooling device for circulation. Since the side walls of the storage unit are generally cooled with the cooled air as a medium, a temperature of the storage unit can be decreased in a more uniform condition. Accordingly, temperature distribution range in the storage unit is reduced and is suitable for a cold insulation of polished rice chest, which has a small temperature distribution range in the order of 5 DEG C.
