Abstract

A golf car having a hydraulic fluid brake system. The hydraulic fluid brake system is implemented as a disk brake system which is responsive to hydraulic fluid pressure generated from a master cylinder. A brake pedal and associated linkage provides input to a master cylinder to generate a hydraulic fluid pressure to control a brake caliper assembly. The brake pedal has a range of travel, where a first portion of the range defines a service mode of operation and a second portion of the range defines a parking mode of operation. In the parking mode of operation, the brake pedal and linkage engages a detent to maintain application of the brake to provide a parking mode of operation. An accumulator in the brake system provides an input force to maintain hydraulic fluid pressure sufficient to retain a parking mode of operation.

Description of the invention (1) 1. Technical description The present invention relates to golf carts with disc brakes in general, and hydraulically actuated discs in particular A golf cart with brakes, a one-point latch mechanism, and integrated accelerator pedal and brake pedals that relax the braking system when in parking mode. 2. Relevant technical description Most golf carts and other small practical carrying tools with one or other type of braking system can refer to US 4,867,289, US 5,158,415, and US 5,713,189 as examples of these systems, The aforementioned examples for technical teaching disclosure are based on the reference materials provided. When the above-mentioned related patent documents and other relevant materials discuss the brake application of practical load tools and golf carts, the brake systems of small load tools and golf carts have not been improved to increase use, feel, performance, durability and other similar Convenience. A conventional ball golf car brake system includes a brake pedal and an accelerator pedal connected to each other. When the brake pedal is pressed down a predetermined distance, the brake system is operated in a normal or service mode. Pressing the brake pedal again will enter the parking mode, which keeps the golf cart in a stationary state. When entering the parking mode, most of the brakes are 4HDP / 0102TW / TEXTRON; 3191E-100001 / TW ι This paper size applies to China National Standard (CNS) A4 (210 X 297 mm) (Please read the precautions on the back before (Fill in this page)% · ϋ an I 一 I, MM ana IBIB hire 1 earnmm · 1 i ϋ ϋ ϋ. 494194 A7 B7 V. Description of the invention ("The pedal has many detent positions) Improved use of braking force. In some golf carts, the '--tent position' does not fully apply the braking force to keep the golf cart in a stationary state. However, when the braking is not fully completed 'Because an audible clicking sound is often generated at each detent position, the operator may think that the brake is fully completed. Further,' the conventional braking system is mechanically popped off 'to restore the brake pedal To the unpressed position. When the brake is released, such a braking system often produces a particularly loud and audible pop, which slightly annoys the operator. Therefore, the object of the present invention is to provide The golf cart's brake system, which significantly improves the previous brake system. Lightweight off-road practical carrying tools, such as golf carts, are much smaller than common cars on the road. Their tires and wheels are smaller, and the space under the carrying tool body is also smaller. Therefore, the space provided for the brake mechanism on the rear wheel is much smaller. In the past, the brakes used on golf carts were very capable. While meeting the purpose of stopping, the maintenance intervals for replacing brake pads or brake shoes are relatively short. For golf carts, they are often used for about one year. As for golf course operators, Or other similar identities, when labor costs increase, it will gradually be desirable to have a brake system whose brake shoes or brake shoes are more durable than common brake systems, thus reducing the overall cost of regularly maintaining the load tool brake system and allowing the load tool to Due to inspection of brake or 4HDP / 0102TW / TEXTRON; 3191E-100001 / TW 2 This paper size is applicable to China National Standard (CNS) A4 (210 X 297 mm) (Please read the phonetic on the back? The operator can use the accelerator pedal 82 and the brake pedal 80 to control the acceleration and braking of the golf cart 10. The accelerator pedal 82 and the brake pedal 80 are preferably suspended from a support member, and like the support members described herein, generally suspended downward from the front cowling 24 (front cowling). Referring also to Fig. 1, the entire brake starter and release combination 50 is installed like a modular unit placed on the floor 26 (florbard) of the vehicle, and at least partially under the front fairing 24. Therefore, any suspension member extending below the floor panel 26 is missing. There are several reasons to explain the advantages of such a structural configuration. For example, when the golf cart 10 is traveling, any component of the braking system 50 is not at risk of being damaged due to obstacles, and the components of the system are isolated from aggressive substances such as puddles, fertilizers, etc., which are passed through by the carrying tool. FIG. 2 describes the characteristics of the golf cart 10, namely the braking system 50. The accelerator pedal 82 controls the operation of the electric motor 32, which is powered by electricity (not shown here). The electric motor 32 includes one or a pair of output shafts 34 that control the transmissions to the respective hubs 38. It should be noted that the reference numerals in the figure are suffixed with R or L to indicate that this component is equivalent to the left or driver side, or the right or passenger side of the golf cart. Invention Explanation) The brake system 50 will be described here as a hydraulically actuated brake system, in which the displacement of the brake pedal 80 will generate a hydraulic pressure to operate the brake elements, such as a disc, drum, and belt brake system, which will be described here. Narrative. The brake system 50 includes a brake pedal 80 connected to the link 42 and the link 42 can be removed. Link 42 provides an input message to the master cylinder 60 (maSte: r cylinder). The master cylinder 60 operates like a common master cylinder, and depressing the brake pedal 80 can provide an input to the master cylinder 60 to generate an increased hydraulic fluid pressure and output the hydraulic control line 46 (hydraulic control line). )on. The hydraulic control line 46 provides liquid pressure to the caliper combinations 48, and each caliper combination 48 includes a corresponding brake pad 44. The rotational movement of the brake rotor 40 (brake rotor) coincides with the hub 38. The brake shoe 44 for the brake rotor 40 generates frictional force to slow down the movement of the brake disk 52 (brakedisk), so that the braking force is applied to the wheel 14. The general operation of the caliper assembly 48 is known to those skilled in the art. To achieve maximum braking force, a second pair of caliper combinations 54 may be required to provide additional deceleration force to the brake rotor 40. The use of two sets of caliper combinations on a single brake disc has a particularly attractive advantage, which is to compensate for the inherent space limitations of the small diameter wheels 14 of a typical golf cart. As described above, depressing the brake pedal 80 will cause the master cylinder 60 to generate a hydraulic fluid output pressure on the hydraulic control line 46. This hydraulic control line acts on the caliper combination 48, and may be equipped with 4HDP / 0102TW / TEXTRON; 3191E-100001 / TW 1〇 This paper size applies to China National Standard (CNS) A4 (210 X 297 mm) ------------- · (Please read the Please fill in this page again for details) * Printed by the Consumer Cooperatives of the Intellectual Property Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs · I ϋ ϋ · ϋ ϋ IIV mmmf ϋ ϋ ϋ ϋ ϋ I ϋ ϋ ϋ «ϋ ϋ ϋ ^ 1 ίβ ϋ ϋ ϋ ϋ I ^ 1 ϋ-494194 A7 B7 5. The caliper combination 54 provided in the invention description (υ). The increase in liquid oil pressure causes the brake pad 44 to move toward the brake rotor 40, thereby generating a frictional force that slows down the movement of the wheel 14. The braking system 50 has two modes of operation. The first operating mode is a service mode, and the braking system 50 will reduce the speed of the golf cart 10 to a low speed, stop, or prevent unnecessary acceleration of the golf cart 10 when going downhill. The second operation mode is the parking mode, and the brake system 50 maintains the golf cart 10 in a stationary state until the parking mode is released. The brake pedal 80 has a movement range that causes the master cylinder 60 to output liquid oil pressure, which is suitable for stopping the golf cart 10 or maintaining the golf cart 10 in a stationary state. The first part of the movement range of the brake pedal 80 will generate a service mode ', which is used to reduce the speed of the golf cart 10 or to prevent unnecessary acceleration of the golf cart 10 when going downhill. Further depression of the brake pedal 80 moves the brake system 50 to the parking mode. The link 42 includes a latch device that engages and clamps the brake pedal 80 at a predetermined position while in the parking mode. When in the parking mode, the accumulator 62 provides a supplemental output to the master cylinder 60 to compensate for any liquid oil pressure weakened by the closed connection 42 or the like. The accumulator 62 maintains liquid oil pressure so that the caliper combination 48 can provide a suitable braking force for the brake rotor 40 and the associated wheel 14. Description of the invention (\ >) When the board 80 moves a predetermined distance, the card will Engage to cause the master cylinder 60 to output sufficient liquid oil pressure to prevent displacement of the wheels 14. When the brake pedal 80 is engaged, it is defined as the parking operation mode, and the brake system can be released from the parking operation mode by depressing the brake pedal 80 or the accelerator pedal 82. The accelerator pedal 82 is mechanically connected to the brake pedal 80, and can release the brake system 50 in the self-parking operation mode. The load tool frame 56 of the golf cart 10 is shown in FIG. 3. The frame 56 provides support for a brake and throttle connection combination 58. The rear axle assembly 64 supports a rear portion of the skeleton 56 via a suspension mechanism (not shown). As shown in FIG. 3, the brake and accelerator pedal combination 58 is mounted on the upper portion 52 of the skeleton 56, so that the brake pedal 80 is suspended downward on the control arm 88 (leVer arm), and the accelerator pedal 82 is also placed on the accelerator arm 172 ( aCCelerator arm). The characteristics of the hybrid brake system 50 will now be described. When in the parking mode, the braking system 50 produces an audible single click or pop. This sound implies that the operator system is correctly in the parking mode. The benefit of this audible tone is to provide a clear indication that the system is in parked mode. This feature improves the common brake system's ability to produce multiple audible sounds when entering brake mode. In such a system, the operator may mistakenly believe that the brake pedal is fixed in a position that can generate sufficient braking force, but the braking force is actually insufficient. The braking system 50 has hysteresis phenomena related to static friction (4HDP / 0102TW / TEXTRON; 3191E-100001 / TW) This paper size is applicable to China National Standard (CNS) A4 (210 X 297 public love)-----I — III nn I · 1111111 · 1 ^ 1 IIIIIII — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — I-I. (Please read the notes on the back before filling this page) 494194 A7 B7 Five 3, invention description (3) (hystersis), inherently less than the braking system using mechanical components, especially the hysteresis phenomenon caused by the cable extension across the contact point. Compared with a mechanical system that requires more force to properly perform the service or parking mode, the hysteresis of the braking system 50 is reduced, and less force is required when selecting the service or parking mode. The reason is that hysteresis is inherently low in hydraulic systems, and hysteresis typically increases with time in mechanical systems, so the hydraulic brake system 50 will significantly reduce the hysteresis during the use of the golf tanker 10. problem. The hydraulic brake system 50 has an automatic adjustment system to compensate for the wear of the brake pad 44. The automatic adjustment occurs because the brake system allows additional liquid to be added to the system from the hydraulic reservoir of the master cylinder 60. The design features of the caliper used in the present invention are known in this technical field; the closed system of the hydraulic cylinder in the brake caliper ensures that the brake shoe 44 of uniform return has the same distance from the brake disc 52. The advantages can be further clarified by using a bladder-based reservoir which provides several additional advantages. The water-bag-type reservoir can be accessed through the top of the reservoir. In addition to ensuring minimal loss of hydraulic fluid, this also avoids contaminants such as water, dirt, and possible atmospheric transfers. The hydraulic brake system 50 uses a non-hygroscopic synthetic oil. A non-hygroscopic oil will not absorb any liquid. The conventional brake fluid comes directly through rubber hoses, seals, and other common brake systems. 4HDP / 0102TW / TEXTRON; 3191E-100001 / TW 13 This paper size applies to China National Standard (CNS) A4 (210 X 297) (Mm) (Please read the notes on the back before filling this page) Printed by the Consumer Cooperatives of the Intellectual Property Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs Φ ------- 丨 Order --------- Line 丨 --- -------------------- 494194 A7 B7 V. Description of the invention (V9 gas place absorbs moisture, including the liquid storage room. This transportation even occurs frequently in water vapor Permeable seals. Therefore, when many seals are resistant to liquid-type moisture, many of these seals are not resistant to moisture of gas-vapor type. Hygroscopic brake fluid also often accelerates the internal damage of metal parts of the brake system. Non-hygroscopic synthetic oils significantly reduce internal damage to the metal parts of the brake system. The non-polar properties provided by non-hygroscopic oils can produce ecologically harmless brake oils. Most grasslands Plants do not absorb non-hygroscopic synthetic oils, whereas traditionally common brakes Oil may be absorbed and damage the life of plants. Conventional brake oil, while avoiding water absorption, may absorb air. Air absorbed into the brake oil will produce a soft and soft braking feeling, and also increase other Problems, such as cavitation and outgassing. When the vehicle is in a high altitude environment for a long time, it will occur. Take the golf cart to a low altitude area, so high Atmospheric pressure will cause air to enter the liquid, and it will release air at high altitude. This will cause the hydraulic system to change. The hydraulic brake system 10 also provides a pressurized hydraulic brake system that is truly sealed. In the parking mode, Hydraulic brake system 10 produces at least 750 pounds per square inch (PSI). This pressure transfer exceeds the pressure of liquid oil commonly used inside conventional liquid brake systems, especially when stationary. In conventional liquid brake systems, Mechanical type of emergency brake or transmission lock to achieve parking mode. Description of the invention (\ 5) When the brake system is in the parking mode, the brake system 50 uses a continuously pressurized hydraulic system. In order to achieve absolute sealing for the relatively high static hydraulic pressures in the brake system 50, all joint surfaces, including the air bleeder balves in the caliper combination 48, are replaced by the elastometer seals- Pair-metal contact. The hydraulic brake system 50 also includes two separate damping systems that provide controlled release of the brake pedal 82. The first damping system is a mechanical damping system implemented by applying damping grease to a pivot shaft in a fixed sleeve. The coil spring returns the brake pedal 82 to its position when it is not in operation. The viscosity of the damping grease changes according to the displacement speed of the pivot. At low speeds, the damping grease acts like a lubricant. At high speeds, the damping grease provides a tacky effect between two abutting surfaces, which slows down the rotation speed of the pivot relative to the fixed sleeve. Therefore, both the pivot shaft and the fixed sleeve can use this damping grease. When the pivot is rotated relative to the fixed sleeve, this viscous effect ensures the upward movement control speed of the brake pedal 82, and also significantly reduces the normal multiple vibrations that occur at the top of the brake pedal stroke in conventional mechanical systems. pulsation. The second damping system uses a wet hydraulic oil flow to control the parked brake pedal 80 to return to its non-operating position. This control of the speed of the upward movement minimizes the noise specific to the conventional brake system when the brake pedal is stopped at the moving top.

Description of the invention The flow is a small path back and forth through a spiral groove to restrict the flow of hydraulic oil when the pedal is restored. The small diameter of the hydraulic oil can restore the flow speed of the hydraulic oil. This speed can promote the brake pedal to move up at a reasonable speed, and can maintain contact when the operator raises his or her feet. When the brake pedal is depressed to the bottom, the recovery speed is quite slow to prevent a slam, so the operator does feel that the brake pedal is on the sole of his foot. Referring to Figs. 4 to 8, a preferred mode for carrying out the present invention will now be described. The brake starter and release combination 50 includes several main components: 1) a master cylinder 60, 2) a hydraulic accumulator 62, and 3) an integrated brake and accelerator pedal combination 58. All parts are mounted on a common support bracket 66, which is cast from a single metal. As shown in Figs. 4 to 8, the support bracket 66 has an open rear end, inner and outer side walls 68 and 70, and a front wall 72 connecting the side walls 68 and 70 to each other. The flanges 74, 76, and 78 extend outwardly from the side walls 68, 70, and front wall 72 for connection to a support, such as the front wall 42 of the operator compartment. The integrated brake pedal and accelerator pedal combination 58 and the hydraulic accumulator 62 can be used in combination or independently of each other, and as applicable to the brake system 50 in the illustration, it is applicable to other diverse systems, and will be sequentially Describe each component. The clip 124 is laterally outwardly located outside the cam follower support arm 144, and cooperates with the clip 118 and the clip 120 on the control arm 110. The cam 125 of the device is formed from stepped lugs with clamps 124 in common, so as to engage with the bumps 122 on the control arm Π0 during the latch operation. A spring support bracket 150 disposed on the outside of the clip 124 is connected to the central spring 114 by a tie rod 152. Description of the invention The structure is used as a structure for supporting other parts of the lock unit 84, and it has a cam 140 directly formed on the upper surface or the rear surface. The cam 140 runs straight along most of the long surface of the plastic block, but at its lower end surface has an arched position 154 formed by a cutout in the plastic block 98. The arched position is cut so that the cam follower 138 stays in the arched position 154 when the brake pedal 80 is in the locked position. A common L-shaped toggle arm i56 (toggle arm) is pivotally mounted on the inner surface of the plastic block 98 adjacent to the swing arm 112. The collar arm 156 includes 1) a first portion U8 and 2) a second portion 160. The second portion 160 generally extends from the first portion 158 at a right angle. The first portion 158 makes eccentric contact with the rod 162 on the plastic block 98 by the return spring 164. The second part 160 selectively cooperates with the ears 166 on the rocker arm 112 to prevent the rocker arm from pivoting during the initial period of the brake pedal depression, and to allow the rocker arm 112 to become a locked position in the ear shape. A part of the control arm 172 is positioned close to the adjacent push rod 170 so that the push rod 170 is engaged by the initial depression of the accelerator pedal. In addition, to provide an indication of the accelerator pedal drive, a non-contact accelerator pedal orientation sensor 178 is located within the control lever 172. The accelerator pedal 82 is biased to its deactivated position by the return spring 180. In operation, when the brake 52 is not engaged, the integrated brake pedal and accelerator pedal combination 54 adopts the positions shown in Figs. 5 and 6. At the same time, the brake pedal 80 adopts a stationary or fully released position, which is rotated to the rearmost part of the brake pedal 80, and the front face of the plastic block 98 is engaged with the shock absorber 148 on the rocker arm 112. The cam roller on the swing arm 112 is located at the furthest possible distance from the cam portion 154 of the cam 140. In addition, beyond the central spring 114 in its first cross-central position, the control arm 110 is biased, and the center line is below the rotation axis of the swing arm Π2, thereby biasing the swing arm 112 downward. As a result, the occurrence of service brakes and subsequent depressing of the brake pedal to the latch point 'does not require contact between the latching unit 84 and its latching parts, thereby avoiding the generation of false sounds that would imply pedal locking. At this time, the over-center spring 114 remains in its first over-center position. The control arm 110 is thus held in a position where the rocker arm 112 cannot be latched. The result is that if the operator removes his foot from the shim 90 without depressing the brake pedal additionally, the brake pedal 80 will return to its released position. The end of the brake pedal stroke and successfully surpassing this end, the ears 166 on the rocker arm 112 remove the second part 160 of the collar arm 156, so that the rocker arm 112 falls through the arc to the cam 125 and the control arm The position where the bump 122 on 110 is engaged. This delayed drop of the swing arm 112 has several advantages. For example, as described above, the clips 124 and cams 125 on the swing arm 112 are allowed to remove the clips 118, 120, and 122 on the control arm 110 in order to prevent the implied noise of the brake pedal lock. In addition, the rocker arm 112 is prevented from rocking with respect to its locked position until it is fully extended beyond the central spring 114 to store sufficient potential energy to effectively promote the rocker arm mechanism to its locked position. In addition, when the rocker arm 112 is dropped to a position where a special "click" sound is generated, the rocker arm 112 generates a physical contact between the cam 125 and the bump 122. This click sound provides an audible to the operator This implies that the brake pedal 80 has been moved into a position where it can be locked. When the operator releases his foot after depressing the brake pedal 80 to its locked position, the amount of brake pedal recovery is extremely small to allow the central spring 114 4HDP / 0102TW / TEXTRON; 3191 E > 100001 / TW 23 paper Standards are applicable to China National Standard (CNS) A4 specifications (210 X 297 mm) nn · ϋ n _ϋ an ϋ Β_ϋ n I ϋ I i ^ i · 1 · Hi · ϋ I ϋ · ϋ ϋ ϋ I ϋ > ϋ ϋ ϋ —Ϋ ^ 1 ϋ IH ϋ ϋ ϋ «ϋ ^ 1 ϋ ϋ ^ 1 ^ 1 ϋ ^ 1 ϋ ^ 1-(Please read the phonetic notes on the back before filling out this page) 494194 A7 B7 V. Description of the invention (from The first moves across the central position to the second moves across the central position, so that the rocker arm cam 125 pushes the control arm clip 122. Due to this action, the control arm 11 is quickly turned from this position to the latch position. Because the position of the clip 122 is very close The axis of rotation of the control arm 110, a very small range (in thousands of inches) of axial brake pedal movement results in a 60. above rotational motion of the control arm. This correlation is reduced over the central spring 114 during the latching process Required work. Second side 130 of brake 126 and plastic The second lever 134 of 98 is engaged, and the first or lower clip 118 on the control arm 110 is engaged with the clip 124 on the swing arm II2 for locking the swing arm II2 in position. This movement provides a special Kata sound, this kata sound provides an audible hint to the operator that the brake pedal 80 has been locked. When the operator releases the brake pedal 80, the brake pedal 80 will still be in the latch of the control arm 11 It remains in the locked position under the locking force. However, because the spring 114 is currently in its second over the center position, the spring 114 in this position, with the wire above the rotation axis of the control arm ι12, biases the control arm 112 upward and It is not biased downwards, so the control arm 112 is prepared for subsequent release. By passing the central spring 114, the supporting force used on the control arm 11 should be large enough at this time to cope with any unfavorable conditions. Any force created by careful placement, or pushing through the load tool 30 when loading cargo, or the impatient operator's rude treatment of the accelerator pedal 82. However, this support force does not need to be very large because any moment arm may cause shake The tendency of the arm 112 to swing away from its locked position is very low. Therefore, it is possible to use a spring with a relatively weak load and a support rating of 8-12 pounds as the center spring 114. 4HDP / 0102TW / TEXTRON; 3191E-100001 / TW 24 books Paper size applies Chinese National Standard (CNS) A4 specification (210 X 297 mm) (Please read the note on the back before filling out this page) Φ Printed by the Consumer Cooperatives of the Intellectual Property Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs ^ Qin -0 , 1 1 ϋ ϋ I ϋ IIII n ϋ I ϋ III n ϋ ϋ ϋ ϋ n ϋ ϋ ϋ ^ 1 ^ 1. 494194 A7 B7 V. Description of the invention (β) The release of the brake 52 can be achieved by the brake pedal 8〇 Or the operation of the accelerator pedal 82 to release the brake pedal 80 from its locked position. In order to release the brake using the brake pedal 80, all operators need to depress the pedal 80 beyond its locked position to an excessively moved position. This brake pedal movement and subsequent rocker arm movement will cause the clip 124 on the rocker arm 112 to slide out of the first clip 118 on the control arm 110, and allow the rocker arm 112 to be pulled up over the central spring 114, causing the clip 124 to bite Hold the second clip 12o as shown in FIG. The clip 124 generates a special clicking sound for the biting action of the clip 120 to inform the operator that the brake pedal 80 has been released. When the operator releases the brake pedal 80, under the biasing force of the return spring 96 and the accumulator spring 246, the brake pedal 80 will return to its rest position as a result. During the return stroke of the brake pedal 80, the brake pedal 80 places a basic moment on the rocker arm Π2. The clip 124 on the swing arm 112 generates a corresponding torque on the upper surface of the clip 120 with sufficient strength to rotate the control arm 110 counterclockwise. The over center spring II4 thus moves back to its first over center position so that this spring biases the rocker arm 112 downward again. In addition, the ears 166 on the inside surface of the rocking arm 112 mesh with the second portion 160 of the collar arm 156 during the return stroke to cause the collar arm 156 to rotate clockwise, allowing the ears 166 to be unobstructed Through the collar arm 156. The collar arm 156 then falls back into the initial position under the biasing force of the spring 164 in preparation for the next service braking cycle. • Use the accelerator pedal 82 to release the brake pedal, also in a similar order 4HDP / 0102TW / TEXTRON; 3191E-100001 / TW 25 This paper size applies to China National Standard (CNS) A4 (210 X 297 mm) (Please read first Note on the back? The invention description (work t) occurred. The operator presses down on the accelerator pedal 82 'so that the control arm 172 is engaged with the push rod 170. This combination forces the swing arm 112 to vibrate clockwise to the pivot tube 142 to drive the control arm 11 to rotate as described above. As mentioned before, this movement releases the rocker arm 112 from the control arm 110 and is in the condition of the biasing force return spring 96 and the accumulator spring 246 of the brake pedal, allowing the brake pedal 80 to return to its rest position. As before, this movement forces the control arm 110 and the central spring 114 back to its initial position. Because the cutout 154 on the cam surface 140 is tangent to the swinging arm rotation arc, the cam roller 138 simply moves around the cam surface 140 in the initial stage. The accelerator pedal utilizes the unlocking operation stage, and does not require the brake pedal return spring 96 and the accumulator spring 246 to use the resistance generated by the brake pedal 80 with a substantial return force. The released brake pedal thus gives a little resistance to the accelerator pedal movement, and the brake 52 is released with the minimum operating force after the first 1-3 inches of the accelerator pedal stroke. As a result, the “operator can“ feather ”the accelerator pedal to move, so that the brake 52 can be released without excessively pressing the accelerator pedal 82, and the related impacts that often occur on golf carts and other light load vehicles are eliminated. Action or quick start. The master cylinder 60 and the hydraulic accumulator 62 are installed to convert the mechanical driving force generated by the depression of the brake pedal into liquid pressure. This pressure first acts on the brake 52, and then stores additional energy to maintain the brake 52 during use. This stored energy offers several advantages. For example, the braking system 50 may be allowed to make up for "creep" or oil pressure loss, which may occur, for example, when the elastic parts of the system are loosened. In addition, it can promote the recovery of brake pedals 4HDP / 0102TW / TEXTRON; 3191E-100001 / TW 26 This paper size applies to China National Standard (CNS) A4 (210 X 297 mm) (Please read the precautions on the back before filling this page ) »*-≫ ϋ —ϋ n ϋ in a mouth r · ϋ · ϋ n —ϋ ϋ H ϋ I ϋ ^ 1 —.1 · ϋ ^ 1 ϋ ϋ i_l n ϋ ^ 1 ϋ ^ 1 ι ϋ ^ 1. 494194 A7 B7 5. Description of the Invention (α) Plate 80 follows the rest position where the lock brake pedal is released. 4-5 and 7-8, the master cylinder 60 is generally known and includes a bracket 200 having a horizontal bore 202 formed in the interior. The liquid storage chamber 204 is formed in the drilled hole 202 and is used for storing hydraulic oil. The borehole 202 has a top entry 206 and a rear exit 208. This inlet 206 cooperates with the liquid storage chamber 204. The rear exit 208 opens to an accumulator chamber 210, which will be described in detail below. The master cylinder master piston 104 is mounted on one side of the borehole 202 so as to extend backward from the rear end of the borehole 202 and contact the drum 103. Due to this arrangement, 1) depressing the pedal 80, and the subsequent vibrational movement of the driving pin 102 and the drum 103, drives the main piston 104 forward through the hole 206, and pressurizes the outlet 208, and 2) the release of the brake pedal 80 The main piston 104 is allowed to move down through the borehole 202 to decompress the outlet 208. Referring to FIG. 7, the remainders of the energy storage chamber 210 and the energy storage 62 may be located at any pressure point of the braking system 50. In the illustrated embodiment, the chamber 210 is formed in an extension portion 212 of the master cylinder bracket 200, and the extension is substantially colinear with the borehole 202 to reduce the number of parts of the energy storage device and facilitate assembly. Description of the invention (4) The accumulator drive piston 214 and one-way throttle valve 216 (restrictor valve) are installed in the storage器 器 室 210。 Energy chamber 210. This accumulator drive piston 214 is mounted on one side of the cell 210 so as to extend beyond the rear end of the master cylinder extension 212 and to contact the accumulator spring assembly 58. The one-way throttle valve is located in front of the accumulator drive piston 214 and is biased in front of the chamber 210 by a return spring. This return spring is installed at the front end of the one-way throttle valve 216 and is driven by the accumulator. The piston 214 is mounted on the rear end. The purpose of the one-way throttle valve 216 is to reduce the return of fluid flow from the accumulator chamber 210 to the master cylinder 60 when the brake 52 is released, so it can suppress most of this type of parking and continuous braking system. The resulting brake pedal has a snapback effect and gradually releases more energy accumulated in the accumulator 62 and the replacement brake 52, allowing the brake pedal to recover more smoothly. The hydraulic accumulator 62 may perform a number of advantageous functions. For example, reduce the force required by the operator to press the brake pedal 80 to the locked position. It also stores the energy generated by the pressurized hydraulic oil, which can be used to maintain the brake 32 in the engaged position after the brake pedal is locked. Finally, the brake pedal 80 is reset to the released position when the brake pedal is released. The preferred energy storage structure has the minimum number of accessories and is easy to assemble, such as an off-site unit, so that it can be installed by the operator without special training to the rest of the brake system 50. To achieve this, the hydraulic accumulator 62 is a spring-type accumulator. This form is best shown in Figure 7. The hydraulic accumulator 62 includes a stopper 240 (retainer), a removable 4HDP / 0102TW / TEXTRON; 3191E-100001 / TW 28 arranged at the rear end of the stopper 240. The central threaded rod 252 is screwed to the external thread 256 on the extension portion 212 of the master cylinder bracket. When the rod 252 is fully screwed to the extension portion 212 of the master cylinder bracket, the tang 254 is fixed to the groove of the front wall 72 of the support bracket 66 In slots 258 (slots). The accumulator 62 can then be unscrewed from the master cylinder support extension 212, and the tang 254 is released from the groove 258 only by an anti-clockwise overtorque acting on the accumulator 62. The band 250 can be used as a base for the cover 244, and is installed to guide and support the compression spring 246 and the compression plate 242. Invention Description (30). The openings 268 (apertures) formed in the spring support portion 262 are used as passages for the band 250. According to the assembly, the relationship between the band 250 of the stopper 240 and the opening 268 of the compression plate 242 allows the compression plate 242 to move axially relative to the stopper 240, but prevents the Rotary motion. The cover 244 includes a metal annular ring having an axially rounded front end portion 270 and inner and outer circular flanges 272 and 274. The circular flanges 272 and 274 extend rearward from the front end portion 270 so as to form a groove serving as a second base for the spring 246. A pair of hooks having an opening are formed at a front end position 270 adjacent to the corresponding notch 278 (notcheS). The notch 278 is installed to receive the band 250 and the hook 260 of the stopper 240, and thus the cover 244 is fixed to the stopper 240. The spring 246 is pre-compressed by a basic amount due to the pre-installation process, as described in detail below. The threshold pressure set by this spring pre-compression is lower than the liquid oil pressure which performs substantially all the work by the master cylinder 60, and higher than the energy storage in the accumulator 62 by the master cylinder 60. The amount of pre-compression required for a particular criticality of compression will vary depending on the spring stiffness of the spring 246 and its caged height. In the illustrated embodiment of the spring 246, its free length is 9 "and the spring stiffness is 25 lbs / in. The brake pedal, which additionally exceeds the border point 286, is lowered to the compression accumulator spring 246, and the master cylinder driving energy can be stored in the spring 246 in the form of potential energy. While the pedal is being driven at this stage, the system pressure increases at a slower rate, as indicated by the shallow portion 288 of curve 282. The input force needs to be increased in order to compress the spring 246, and this increase is substantially lower than the magnitude of the simultaneous increase in pressure for the hydraulic oil. As a result, in the second stage of the brake pedal driving, the resistance to the brake pedal movement increases at a slower rate than in the first stage. In the illustrated embodiment, the critical point 286 between the first and second stages of brake pedal actuation occurs at 800-850 psi hydraulic pressure. When the brake pedal 80 is latched in its locked position and the second stage of its driving stroke is at the end, the pressure gradually rises to about 900-950 psi thereafter. The compression spring 246 is compressed to about 1/2 "at this time. In order to latch the brake pedal 80 in its locked position, at least 50% of the entire required brake pedal stroke will be consumed during the second stage of brake pedal drive, perhaps at least 65% or more. With the result at the end of this stage, excess energy is stored 4HDP / 0102TW / TEXTRON; 3191E-100001 / TW 31 This paper size applies the Chinese National Standard (CNS) A4 specification (210 X 297 mm) (Please read the note on the back? 216 4HDP/0102TW/TEXTRON; Description of the invention (3M in the accumulator 62 to maintain the brake 52, and the operator can reset the brake pedal 80 with little force (in FIG. 9, the thin line area 292 below the curve 282 is shown Energy stored by the accumulator 62). During the second phase where the brake pedal drive stroke is quite long, a large amount of work is performed, but it is done with less input force than the same workload (and therefore stores the same energy) Shorter stroke. In fact, the operator's input force reaches the critical point of 286 at about 35 lbs, and only 25 lbs of input force is needed to depress the brake pedal 80 to its latch point. This is extreme High input force for comparison. If the operator depresses the brake pedal 80 to reach the latch point and there is no accumulator in the system, the extremely high input force may require pressurizing the hydraulic oil to a higher level (see Figure 9). The middle dashed line 290). Therefore, the accumulator 62 significantly promotes the latching of the brake pedal and reduces the accuracy required to reach the latch point because the operator can easily push down a long distance. After the brake pedal is released , One-way throttle valve 216 in Under the restoring force of the bit yellow 230, it quickly returns to the front end of the cell 210, thereby preventing rapid depressurization of the accumulator cell 210. Without any unpleasant rapid return phenomenon, the brake pedal 80 then returns to its initial position. The aforementioned rapid return phenomenon will cause substantial wear and tear in the system. Risk of injury to the operator. The damping grease between the brake pedal pivot 86 and the fixed sleeve 92 also reduces the reset movement of the brake pedal. The rest, when the brake pedal 80 reaches its resting or fully released position, is caused by moderation The small rapid return impact force of the recovery speed is absorbed by the elastic shock absorber 148 on the rocker arm Π2, and the result is actually silent and less than the reset vibration. The hydraulic brake system 3 10, which applies the braking force to the wheels, uses a drum brake system instead of a disc brake system. Similar to the related parts depicted in Figs. 1-3, the same reference numerals will be used for the parts of the hydraulic brake system 310. In FIG. 10, the hydraulic brake system 310 is a specific embodiment of a drum brake system, which includes a brake cylinder and a shoe assembly 312. The operation of the shoe assembly 312 is via a hydraulic control tube. The circuit 46 responds to the hydraulic pressure of the liquid used. The brake cylinder and shoe combination 312 includes a brake shoe that is radially depressed against a brake drum 314 (brake drum). The outer side of the brake drum 3 14 is connected to the wheels 14. The liquid pressure is applied by the hydraulic control line 46, and the brake cylinder and shoe combination 312 is pressed against the brake drum 314, thereby generating friction to reduce the movement of the wheel 14. Description of the invention (30) In the present invention In another embodiment, FIG. ^ Depicts a hydraulic brake system 320, which uses a band brake system to reduce the movement of the transmission shaft 34. Except that the brake mechanism is related to a band brake system, not a disc or drum brake system, the arrangement of Fig. N is basically the same as that of Figs. 1-3 and 10 above. Therefore, the same reference numerals used in the above figures will indicate the same parts in FIG. 11. The hydraulic brake system 320 uses the displacement of the brake pedal 80 and the connection 42 to generate the liquid oil pressure from the master cylinder 60 into the hydraulic control line 46. The hydraulic control line 46 operates the belt brake combination 322. The belt brake assembly 322 includes a brake cylinder 324 that is firmly connected to the drive shaft 34. The band brake 326 surrounds the brake cylinder 324. In response to the hydraulic pressure and the hydraulic pressure, the band brake 326 generates friction force on the brake cylinder 324 at the periphery. This friction slows the movement of the drive shaft 34 and also relatively reduces the movement of the wheels, thereby generating a braking force. When the liquid oil pressure in the hydraulic control line 46 decreases, the band brake 326 reduces the compression to the surroundings, thereby reducing the braking force. 12-17 show a preferred embodiment of the caliper assembly 48 and its connection to the golf cart 10. The caliper inner half assembly 514 has an input fluid hole 516 for receiving fluid from the hydraulic brake line 521, and a fluid output hole 517 for supplying fluid to the right brake device 500R (see Fig. 13). The caliper inner half assembly 5 14 has ableer valve 518 for exhausting gas from the brake line 521 during maintenance or installation. The through hole of the caliper bracket for mounting the bolt 530 is perpendicular to the above-mentioned machined surface, so that the surface of the brake caliper piston can be sufficiently parallel to the opposite surface of the rotor 504 to ensure that the brake pads 518 and 519 have substantially the same wear. The position of each through hole is centered on a flat working surface on the end portions of the caliper assembly 512 and 514 caliper brackets. In this way, the tightened bolt 530 will slightly compress the seal ring 525 to avoid any possibility of hydraulic fluid seeping between the adjacent brackets. Because only two bolts are required to mount the caliper combination 512 to the flange 510, the final assembly of the axle of the load tool is completed with minimal labor. This means that the brake caliper assembly 512 can be completely assembled in a place other than the final assembly device for small utility vehicles, operation tests, and then transported when full of hydraulic oil if desired. When looking at the caliper combination 506, it has a low compact profile. The best display is shown in Figure 17, in the assembly 5 12 and 514 4HDP / 0102TW / TEXTRON; 3191E-100001 / TW 37 This paper size applies the Chinese National Standard (CNS) A4 specification (210 X 297 mm) — — — — — — — — — — — * ------- ^ · 11111 --- · (Please read the notes on the back before filling out this page) 494194 Printed by the Consumer Cooperative of the Intellectual Property Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs A7 B7 V. Invention Explanation (3 persons) The gap between the outermost radiation point of the caliper bracket and the surface of the ordinary cylindrical wheel line inside the wheel is preferably about 3 li (about ο · 1 inch) to 20 legs (about 8/1 〇 inch), currently preferably in the range of about 5 mm (about 2/10 inches) to 12 mm (about 2 inches). This tight gap is created in part by a sufficiently thick and rigid caliper bracket, and by using two mass mounting bolts 530 and a sufficiently rigid mounting flange to further stabilize the bracket to avoid emergency braking And the caliper combination will have any significant lateral or radial buckling during the entire rotor / wheel lock. In this regard, the outer end portions of the caliper bracket, through which the through bolts 530 are operated, often show thicker (ie, in the axial direction of the rear axle of the load tool) than their height (ie, from the rear axle of the load tool). The axis radiates outwards). The use of two opposing sets of pistons on opposing caliper half assemblies 512 and 514 also provides additional advantages. First, on opposite sides of the rotor, the opposing piston arrangement provides a balanced counterforce, thus allowing the application of high hydraulic braking forces. Second, the two piston drivers 520 on the assembly 512 are slightly angled apart from each other. By using two spaced-apart brake pistons in each caliper assembly, the conventional oval, kidney-shaped, and relatively thick brake pads can be used as shown, thereby maximizing the surface area of the brake pads. In the repeated braking action over the years, the large area of the brake pads can minimize the proportion of surface wear on the brake pads. Oval brake pads made by any conventional or appropriate method are acceptable, and the back plate portion shown is strengthened to help maintain minimal deflection, and good rotor and brake pad surfaces Contact, even between the two brake pistons 4HDP / 0102TW / TEXTRON; 3191E-100001 / TW 38 This paper size applies to China National Standard (CNS) A4 specifications (210 X 297 public love) ------- ------------- Order --------- line (please read the precautions on the back before filling this page) 494194 A7 B7 V.
