Abstract

The present invention provides a socket connector and method for cleaning the contact face of its holding terminal. The socket connector comprises an insulated body and a plurality of terminals. Before inserting the plug, the elastic extending arm and the elastic contact arm are elastically deformed to securely contact with each other. When the plug is inserted, the elastic extending arm is depressed and the elastic contact arm is recovered due to elasticity for sliding along the contact face of the elastic extending arm to its original free position and finally is separated.
