Abstract

The invention is directed to a process for preparing primary sheet type electrode and bio-active membrane used in conjunction with a bio-sensor device; the electrode is applied to find out the electrical effect occurred in the bio-chemical reaction and the composite and the concentration of the specimen; the sheet type electrode includes at least an electrode portion which senses and transmits the electric effect of the bio-chemical reaction and a bio-active membrane which react chemically or bio-chemically with the specimen; the bio-active membrane includes at least a carrier (such as cellulose) which can adsorb and hold the active material (enzyme); the carrier is printed on the surface of the electrode by means of screen printing technique, further, the carrier, not only converts the electrode from hydrophobic into hydrophilic nature, but also prevent the electrode from being damaged under high temperature drying during the screen printing operation. The process of the invention is carried out in the screen printing, easy in production and less in cost.
