Abstract

A paging receiver with receive signal strength indication functions, which comprises: a radio frequency receiving device for detecting the voltage level of a radio frequency signal received by an antenna, thereby outputting the detected voltage level, and after demodulating the voltage level of the radio frequency signal, waveform shaping the demodulated voltage level into digital data and thereby outputting the waveform shaped voltage level; an A/D conversion device for generating a digital value corresponding to the detected voltage level of the radio frequency signal; a pushkey input device for setting the display mode of a receive signal strength indication; a control device for detecting a receive signal strength indication corresponding to the display mode of the receive signal strength indication set by the pushkey input device by the output of the A/D conversion device; and a display device for displaying the detected receive signal strength indication level by the control of the control device.
