Abstract
A power device of a laser system for driving a laser excitation device of a laser system containing or not containing helium gas thereby generating a laser output, the laser device comprising: a rectification circuit coupled to an external a.c. power supply; a voltage shaping circuit coupled to the output of the rectification circuit thereby outputting a d.c. voltage; a switch switching circuit coupled in parallel to the output of the rectification circuit, and coupled in parallel with the voltage shaping circuit, thereby outputting a square wave power at a specified frequency; and a transformer device having a primary side coil winding and a secondary side coil winding, the two nodes of the input of the primary side coil being coupled to the output of the switch switching circuit, the two nodes of the output of the secondary side coil being combined with all contained parasitic capacitances and distributed capacitances and combining with the discharge tube into an integral body, thereby forming a resonant power supply for exciting a laser device; in which the winding of the transformer enables it containing a huge leakage inductance, stray capacitance, and jointly defining an equivalent resonant discharge network by the distribution capacitance of the wires, the distribution capacitance of the mechanical structure of the discharge tube, and a capacitance value determined by the area and thickness of the discharge tube material and the hot coating metal external electrode.
