Abstract
Horizontal deflection transformers for television sets which are used in conjunction with a circuit for voltage multiplication predominantly consist of two coil formers, pushed coaxially into one another, with separate primary winding and pushed-on high-voltage winding. Such a construction is elaborate and the pulse duration to be utilised is considerably reduced at an operating frequency of over 20 kHz, for example 32 kHz. The novel deflection transformer is intended to exhibit a simple construction and the voltage multiplication circuit should operate correctly with a frequency of, for example, 32 kHz and more. In order to use a horizontal deflection transformer for television sets for generating high voltage in conjunction with a voltage multiplication circuit at frequencies of much over 20 kHz, a particular allocation of particular winding areas of the primary winding to particular winding areas of the high-voltage winding is required. The horizontal deflection transformer having the novel winding configuration is also suitable for operating frequencies of 64 kHz in conjunction with a voltage multiplication circuit. <IMAGE>
