Abstract
A process of producing semi-metallic brake pad, which comprises using a composition comprising: a binder, which is 63.5%+-3.175% of the total amount and is a mixture of resin, un-vulcalized NBR rubber powder, steel fiber; an organic filler for friction coefficient adjustment, which is 6.5%+-0.325% of the total amount and is a mixture of friction coefficient adjustment agent and rubber crumbs; an inorganic filler for friction coefficient adjustment, which is 25%+-1.25% of the total amount and is a mixture of barium sulfate, vermiculite/mica, metallic sulfide, and grinder, etc.; a metallic powder, which is 5%+-0.025% of the total amount and is comprised of steel powder; in which the process comprises mixing the binder, the organic filler for friction coefficient adjustment, the inorganic filler for friction coefficient adjustment and the metallic powder together according to the proportion, meanwhile performing acid washing on the surface of the combining steel element to remove the impurities and coating adhesive on the surface, mixing the combining steel element and the above mentioned mixture followed by transferring them into the mold of brake pad at 140~180 deg.C and 50 ton +- 5 ton to carry out thermal molding for forming the brake pad model, trimming the model to remove deckle edges of the model followed by surface grinding and specification revising to obtain the product of brake pad.
