Abstract

An electron gun for color CRT, which can generate multiple electron beams, mainly includes the cathode, control electrode, screen electrode, focus electrode and the anode etc. components, in which the three sets of cathodes which generate three colors of electron beams with different colors in each set are lined up in horizontal direction with linear gap among them, along the vertical direction each cathode can generate two or more than two very close beams with same color, each set of three color beams operated through control electrode, screen electrode, focus electrode and the anode are affected by the deflection design of color CRT, so the two side beams of the three color beam are converged to the center and focused on one scanning point of the screen, then the electron beams of three color will form the corresponding scanning point on the display screen, and the scanning points will synchronously scan multiple horizontal color scanning lines with very close distance in vertical direction on the screen.
